Update, got to try it out yesterday. Used a friends 18490 and one of my bridgeless 510 atty's,all I can say is WOW! That is exactly the vape I have been searching for.I've wasted time and money on different mods, tanks, cartos, and such, and finally found it with the REO. I believe I will be buying nothing but REOs from now on. Anyway,I got AW IMR 18490's and more diy supplies ordered. And I went and ordered a couple of bottles, spring, feed tube, and an RM2. It was calling out to me,so I had to add it to my cart. So within a few anxious days I will have the perfect vape!!!!! :vapor:

Got the RM2 in the mail today along with spare bottles and a couple other parts I ordered from Rob. Just put a micro coil in it. 28 gauge Kanthal, ten wraps, with organic cotton.Meters out to 1.6ohms. Fantastic! I gotta get more batteries, cause I'm vamping the crap outta this mini since I got it. I will definitely start saving for a Grand now,as the Reo has become my go to mod. Here are a couple more pics. Does my coil and wick look okay? This is the fourth coil I've ever built. I've only done micro coils with cotton since they seem to be so much easier to do than regular coils. IMG_0265.jpgIMG_0267.jpg

Congrats! That's very similar to my coil setup. Yes, grands are definitely in their own league. Once I got mine it was game over for my minis. I do have an 18490 woodvil that I love but much prefer working with the 6ml bottle on a grand / VV grand / VV woodvil.

A grand is much smaller than most people imagine. An 18490 / mini is tiny :)

Thanks everybody. Well I was vaping it yesterday and I was a little unhappy. The performance was very inconsistent. I didn't even take it to work last night, ended up using my ego and pro tank mini. So when I got home I decided to redo the coil and wick. Wrapped a new coil and used less cotton. Now it is working great. Very consistent and a very good vape. She just needed a little tinkering. I decided since she's used that I'm going to go ahead and order a rebuild kit today and give her a fresh rebuild so I don't have any other problems with her. Will probably order another battery or two also. My next Reo will definitely be a new one unless I come across one dirt cheap :p

Your first coil looked pretty damn good to me, just too much cotton. It takes some trial and error to get the amount just right - the "shoulders" in your first pic are a dead giveaway it was over packed.
For me, a tiny wisp of cotton and more frequent squonking works best.
That being said, part of the fun is playing with different configurations until finding what works best for YOU.

REO's hold their value well. Usually classy prices are just a bit less than a new one. With the addition of blemished, it makes buying new a good idea.

I have bought over 35 used REO's. Only a couple needed to be sent in for work. I only went for collectible or the wood REO's for most. But did pick up some low priced for various reasons. Bought one that was in pieces for $70 and sent it to Robert. For $100 I had a REO that was like new.
