Makes me wonder if there isn't some variations in sizes on the holes in his. Mine (as in my drew tip) is definitely significantly smaller. Regardless, shame he copied me. He says i was the "inspiration". Changing the countour of it doesn't change the fact he ordered two and copied them. The Oring retention design is identical down the thousandths of an inch, so is the length and so is the funnel. He just changed the countour, a simple code change on the CNC machine.

I know, anyone is free to copy, there is no patent. But why copying hurts is it stiffles creativity and innovation. It drives out would be inventors as they don't want to waste their time as it will just get copied!

Agreed...I goota admit I was curious as to the differences and the differences in weight..as well as wanting something in black (without having to bust out the stuff to order and annodize some aluminum t-tips...but I keep turning back to my t-tips anyway

Personally, I think these tips are worth every penny. They're going to last a very long time, they look fantastic and make anything you use them with look way WAY cooler.

I agree the older brass tip hole is too small, but I believe David has changed that. I did end up with the older one since I bought it from someone on the BST, but he said I could send it in to him and he'd drill it out for me, which I plan on doing.

The stainless steel tip on the other hand has the bigger hole, and I find it works great for dripping. Honestly, $20 doesn't seem like that much for a part like this.

I would never in a million years spend any money on a plastic tip again. I hate the idea of sucking on plastic, which is why I went with these metal tips in the first place.

Now, if you think these are expensive, how about some limited edition runs?.... 24k Solid Gold, Sterling Silver, Platinum? Now those would be expensive. :D

24k GOLD.... with the weight it will cost well over 150 bucks... lol .. but not a bad idea no more tarnish and it will look good with the brass button.... hey he might as well sell a limited edition S6 and Precise that is stainless steel with gold button/Adapter of choice :)
Now THAT would be hot!

I think the design was copied from someone on the forum that showed us how to drill out the cap to make it hollow for easy dripping. This post has been a long time ago. I do take both of the round flat plastic parts in a regular cap out. This only leaves the piece of plastic that runds crosswards. It leaves holds on each side. You can drip through this. I have refillable carts that I have had for 11 months and are still in good condition. I just don't know why somebody can't make the regular cart that has a hole in it to allow for dripping. If you can get 10 of these for 7.00 and they last as long as most of the carts that I have then this would be the way to go.

IMO making a prefillable plastic cart (same material ) with a hollow hole in it would be easier and cheaper to make , You would not have to put the two flat and crosswards pieces.

i still think carbon fiber t-tips would be a hell of a sweet thing to add to the collection... not only would it look cool but it will last but not as long as the metal ones though.

As the carbon started to wear it would start to splinter.
carbon Fiber splinters hurt like He** and are very hard to remove as they tend to break off if you grab it with tweezers.

I work with a lot of carbon... sharp pointy stuff

Does anybody think they are a little pricey. I think 16.99 is a lot to pay. If someone could make a plastic one IMO it would be better and cheaper. I certainly would buy these. There is a video showing how to make one out of an ink pen.

It's like a Exotic Sports Car... if it's out of your price range, don't buy one.

I don't go down to the Porsche shop and hold up a sign about how they're too expensive and I don't have one in my driveway.. Doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to have one, just that I choose not to buy it...
