I have a VAMO V2, and have been using vivi novas for a little while with juice from Mrs. T's. The problem that I have is the way it hits. It seems strange, but I get a hit in the chest, but not as much vapor or TH as I think I should. I am running around 5.5-6W most of the time. I used to use the 8808-1 with cartomizers, and these seemed to give a lot of vapor at first, then taper off with the burnt taste after heavy vaping.

What is a good tank to use that might help? I am thinking of a Protank II or the Aro, but I am not very familiar with either. Also, (I know I am asking a lot), is there a good site that I could get a tank, and some good juice? I don't know if it is the nova, juice, or my settings. I am running RMS, with VW on my VAMO.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi jprindle! I don't have any experience with the VAMO (or VW for that matter), but I'll bump this for you. Good luck in your search for an answer.
On an aside, I like the Vivi Nova better than the Protank 1, but ONLY because the Protank 1 doesn't have a replaceable drip tip. The ProTank 2 does, so I expect it to be better. YMMV, of course. :)

I like evods and protanks. I enjoy a BCC. I like my vivi nova and I am growing pretty fond of my Iclear 30. All produce great vapor and are pretty hassle free.

PG/VG ratio will contribute to vapor production and throat hit.

There are tons of great juices to try, my main go tos are avejuice.com goodlifevapors.com and roarvapor.com

Hope this helps!!!!

Dear Mr. J,

Please note: The flavor does not come from the Vamo or ProVari, or Ego. It comes from the device on top either cartomizer, clearomizer, carto tank, or Rebuidable Atomizer, etc. True different juice tastes different at different voltage and wattage, but that is just adjusting the amount of energy going into the coil. I started as cheaply as you can making my own tanks from syringes from Tractor Supply and using old stainless XL cartos which I punched. You still can make a tank for under $5.00. That being said, the least expensive but highly regarded tank is the Artemas Tank which can be found at surevapes.com (https://www.surevapes.com/Smok-U-DCT-Artemas-Locking-Tank-empty--Gun-Metal_p_293.html)

You will need flanged SmokTech cartos also found at surevapes here : https://www.surevapes.com/Single-Coil-2-Hole-20-ohm-Tank-Cartomizer--5pack_p_390.html

I do not recommend dual coils because they use up batteries much faster and do not provide a better vape. I have 6 of these tanks with various juice going at any one time. The cartos last between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on whether you chain vape or not and the quality of each carto, which is sometimes very different. The tanks will not leak and the carto is locked in.

Just My :2c: and that probably is all that it is worth

The flange won't be necessary with a vamo. A typical DCT tank is about 22mm, and it is flush with the vamo. The flange prevents the tank from being pushed down, and if you're a PV like the vamo, you won't have to worry about your tank sliding down. I like flanges because it's easier to tighten and loosen the tank if the O-rings aren't gripping the cartomizer enough.

I have the Vamo V3 and the ProTank II. It is a BEASTLY good combination.

Another good bottom coil system on the Vamo is the Kamry X10. It's a plastic tank in a metal sleeve, but has almost twice the capacity of the Protank II and also has a removable drip tip.

Both are solid performers, reasonably priced, hassle free and work like champs with the Vamo.

Thank you all for the ideas. I understand it is a juice and tank/carto combo that isn't working well for me. I just wasn't sure what to change. I love the VAMO, it is a great unit. I just need to find a tank that works with the juice I use, and I can hopefully stop smoking for good.

Thanks again!

Quick question: Do you know if you are running in NO1 mode or NO2 mode? If you don't know what I am referring to, let me know. Sometimes, that can be a problem for people if they don't know about it.
As far as the rest, I just got an Aro, and I couldn't be happier. I've owned vivi's, pro-tanks, and other tanks, clearo's and cartomizers. For some reason, the Aro is the best one (besides carto tanks) that I own. At about $6, you can't beat it!

I like my VAMO and I like my ProTanks, but I don't like the way my ProTank sits on my VAMO.
It doesn't quite reach the "collar" so it's goofy, a little crooked, unstable, and stressing the VAMO's one weak point - the 510 threads.
So....I'd suggest another alternative - a T3. They're similar in performace to a ProTank (but not glass), bigger than an EVOD, they're $5, and I've been using them happily on the VAMO...

NO2 mode. I have a couple Aros on the way, as well as a few Pro Tank II. I can't wait to try them out!

Ok, cool! Sometimes, if people don't know about the NO2 mode, the NO1 can hit REALLY hard.
I can't speak about the Pro Tank II, because I only own version 1 of that, but I didn't care for it. The Aro on the other hand, is awesome! You will not be disappointed with it. Ever since I got the Aro, I put the Pro Tank in storage!
Congrats!

I have a V3 but that shouldn't make a difference. But before I got into RBA's I used a BCC Mega bottom feed tank on it and it worked fantastic with the device. Really didn't like vivi novas and pro tanks always leak.. So I'd give it a shot if I were you. You'll get a really good flavor out of it depending on how high your vaping on, that could be your issue as well. All and all I think the BCC would be perfect for you, plus it will fit the vamos size nice and flush :) P.S. Yes, they have an extended amount of colored ones to choose from.

I have that fit problem too. I figured out to use the top cone (sleeve) and spin it up to the bottom of the tank for a cleaner fit and makes for snug fit for the tank too.

I have seen and used the Vamo V3 and I can confirm that the ProTank II does not fit completely down to the top most part of the Vamo. It is purely a cosmetic "issue" as the tank performed flawlessly using the Vamo V3 at several voltages, without any problems. YMMV.

I've only ever tried the EVOD and PROTANK - so I can't advise on alternative "tanks" per se, but your mod is a good one IMO.
