So I have been using my Kr808d-1 and a 510 with an adapter for the kr8 cartos since my 510 atty/carts were defective when they came in....anyway...when I vape, I feel like am trying to suck a golf ball through a garden hose LOL By the end of the day my poor mouth and tongue are worn out.
I did try to untwist the carto a bit to let in a bit more air but only helped a bit. I make sure the cartos have plenty of liquid and the batts are fully charged but still it seems so hard to suck in the vapor. I have noticed my kr808 usb passthrough is much easier to drag from and I get a good inhalation from that.

I am clueless when it comes to knowing the advantages of the different models and such. Do the mega batts just last longer? What do the LR things do? I don't have the $ to spend on an expensive model, what can I get that I can use with my 510 & kr808 equipment that will help?

Also is there a list of compatable e-cig parts? Like what models parts can fit with what other models?

All up in your grill..
510 cartomizers are pretty cool there are a bunch of vendors right here on the ecf that sell em at a great price. They are a pretty easy draw. There are also several different 808 cartos out and they are definitely not all the same. My experience has been that the 510 with a regular atty is pretty much unusable because they leak so bad and hold such a tiny amount of liquid. With a little research I am sure you will find something. A good place to start looking would be here: KR808D-1 here: Joye 510

and here: "Where can I get a .......?"

I hope this is helpful.

For the cost of a small screwdriver you can fix the hard draw from your 510 adapter. Look in the end of the adapter,
one side has a slot, you can turn the screw gently to adjust the air flow, and ease of draw.

If you have a 510 (good reliable unit) and an adapter for 808 carto / 901 atty (yup both fit, same adapter) you're
off to a great start, mods can come later. A mega battery, or an ego / riva battery will give you longer in-between
switching and charging batteries. Most batteries (from reputable vendors) will have a mAh rating, 510 standard is
usually 180 mAh, ego will be 650, 900, 1300 mAh, the bigger numbers last longer.

LR are low resistance attys, to use on a 3.7 mod battery, to make it seem like you're vaping at 5v.
I've tried them on my mod and pass thru and wasn't overly impressed, YMMV.

Higher voltages give you a warmer vapor, some people like the feel of the vapor at 5-6V but
it can also ruin the taste somewhat as you're cooking it at a higher temperature.
Although it does give you a bigger throat hit, personal preference.

I've tried 5V with a pass thru, and it doesn't suit me, everybody has their own sweet spot of vaping.
I personally prefer vaping at a true 3.7V, good vapor production, good taste, a little cooler, less harsh.

The 510 / ego / riva operate at about 3.2V, a KR808 and some mods at 3.7, some mods and some pass thru's 5V,
then some mods at 6-7.4V.

Vaping Guides is my bible and it's one of the biggest reasons I'm so happy with my mods. I think if people really want to make informed decisions and be happier with their choices they'll make the time to read it. I've seen a few people jump into using LR attys and mods who have been unhappy and it's because they didn't know what they were doing or what they were getting into. I've linked to various articles on the Vaping Guides, but they couldn't be bothered. If they had, they could've saved themselves a lot of time, frustration and money.
