I'm thinking of venturing into that world. I'm not looking to sub ohm or anything crazy, just a tank style rebuildable. If that rebuildable had prebuilt "heads" available it would be a plus. What is really drawing me in is the ability to change flavors easier. I'm currently using carto tanks so your pretty much dedicated until it dies out. I use an MVP 2 mainly so something that doesn't look to massive, currently using a 22mm width standard height ibtanked that isn't exactly small and would prefer not to go much bigger. I don't want to go high end so no $150 stuff. Knock off is fine as long as it's quality and not going to give me a bunch of trouble. I'm probably going to regret this but going to venture into it, easier the better. Thanks for the suggestions.

I would suggest a rebuildable atomizer like a kayfun lite clone. I've heard super great things about them. They are not all the bad $$$ wise either. Eciggity.com has some for pretty cheap if I remember right too. Or a cheaper rebuildable dripper like a igo-l or igo-w isnt too bad either if thats what your into. I'd definately check out Eciggity.com for any of what I just listed. Goodluck on your search.

If you're interested in rebuildables I'd suggest a kayfun, but you say it's about changing flavors...
If it's changing flavors that you're interested in, I'd recommend multiple tanks, like a bunch of miniprotank2's.

In the cartotank world, I'm sure there are also the smaller tank options you can go with instead.

I'd say get a dripper to start off on. They are probably the easiest rebuildable to learn on because of the amount of space you have on the deck.
I have a nimbus clone which I really like, got it for like $15. Think its 21mm. Or an igo-l is great for single coils. Igo-w4 is also nice for dual coils. And the igos are are good starters and fairly cheap.

agree a dripper is the way to go for flavor changes on the fly. As for re tanks that can be rebuilt with premade coils Im have an awesome time with the Iclear 30S and 30B the 30S being my favorite I have it on an VTR at 12 watts 4.5 volts it produces awesome vapor and outstanding flavor using 60VG 40PG juice. the 30B is a nice unit but does tend to leak a tad and that's the only drawback for that one other then that its a great unit. I also have a Kayfun 3.1 that is the best device I own it has a nice adjustable airflow system and is completely leakproof and man does it chuck vapor it is however a large unit

I pretty much agree with what had been said. If you want to rotate between many different flavors every day then it's tough to beat an army of clearos such as ARO, EVOD, Pro Tank, or iClears. If you want to rapidly switch between flavors for taste testing then an easy to work with single coil dripper such as an iGo-L is tough to beat.

They don't have "heads" available. That's why they're a rebuildable. You have to make the coil and wick yourself.

On that note, get a kayfun or clone if you're interested in that type of tank. Once you get past the learning curve of building heads and wicking them you should never have a problem.

Let me clarify on the changing of flavors. I'm not looking to change throughout the day. More along the lines of trying a new flavor every now and again. Order a 5ml bottle of something and fill up the tank. If I don't like it rinse it out and change the cotton is all it take unless I'm missing something. A lot better than trashing a carto while not expensive aren't cheap to just be tossing left and right either.

I definitely want something with a tank on it, not a dripper. Seems the Kayfun is popular choice at the moment, anything else I should look at? What particular one should I be looking at? (seems to be a ton of variations out there)

I seriously think you should consider the Flash E Vapor V2. clones only right now as the creator is working on V3.

Check it (clone) here: CLEARANCE- Flash e-vapor V2 clone - 101 Vape
$35 - can be used as a dripper, swap to tank mode or even extended tank mode.

the coil build deck is nice and large (easy as Igo-L).

The only "problem" is the use of feeder wicks. it may look hard, but it's really simple.

I've never had any type of leak. At anytime I can separate the tank and change the wick or coil without losing what's in the tank. OR can keep the coil build, replace the cotton and refill tank. If a friend comes with a juice to try, take off tank, put on dripper cap and drip new flavor; after, just put the tank back on and you've got your other flavor back.

I can't wait for the V3 based solely on the quality and versatility of this one. Authentic runs in the area of $100-150, but the Tobeco clone is decent. I wouldn't get the clone on Fasttech/Focal though, not 1:1

Well it still boils down to confusion as to whether it is a rebuildable that you want or not.

If you just want to change flavors without having to clean a carto, a common tank is all you need; just either replace the head and put the old head to soak, or just change the liquid and don't bother with the small amount left over taste which you'll only notice for the start; a carto holds alot more liquid in the big wad off filler material compared to the common atomizer heads which have only a small wick, especially the bottom coil heads.

If you want to wire you own coils and put your own wick then rebuildables are the way to go, but for changing out flavors, many rebuildables are not as convenient for changing out the liquid inside the tank as many of the common tanks.

My I-atty genesis type rebuildable I have to use a syringe to put liquid, or remove from the tank; many rebuildables have a 'fill hole' like it where you basically need a syringe or if there's enough space a needle bottle might work - not mine, too small for the needle bottle to work. In fact that's one of the main reasons I stopped using it.
In comparison, with the protanks, I just unscrew the base, which has the atomizer head on it, and take the tank to the sink and give it a rinse then shake out and fill her up.
