ok i just quit smoking and i want to buy an vapor cigarette, but more because of the oral fixation and not the nicotine...i have read some of the threads here about what newbs buy and it seems i need a mod or whatever but i dont know what to buy...here is what i want:
-looks like a cigarette (white and tan)
-gives a decent amount of vapor
-i dont want to fill my own cartridges
-no nicotine added or very very little
-battery lasts a good amount of time...more than 6 hours
-if possible tastes like american spirits
-minimal amount of cleaning

ok i know i probably wont be able to get all of that in one, but i would like to come close so if someone could let send me links to products to buy please do so...thanks in advance!

I don't think you need to start off with a mod. There is enough of a learning curve with basic e-cigs, mods just add to that. But if you feel like jumping in, feel free. As far as an e-cig that looks like a cigarette and lasts more than 6 hours, I don't think that is going to happen. The eGo lasts well over 6 hours, but doesn't really look like a cigarette. The 510 is small like a cigarette, but right off the top of my head, I don't know of any that are white and tan. As for the nicotine amount and flavor, that is one of the best things about a e-cigs. You can pick from a zillion different flavors, and choose what strength they come in, all the way down to 0 nicotine, so that shouldn't be a problem. Hope this gives you a general idea of where to begin looking.

They do make them to look like a real cigarette, I just don't have any experience with any companies that do, so I can't recommend any. Most of the ones I have seen are black, which in my opinion, just looks cool. It also keeps people from confusing them with real cigarettes. As far as the cartridges go, why are you so against filling your own? You can save TONS of money by filling your own, and they generally last a lot longer when you do.

EDIT: Battery size determines how long your battery will last. So if you want one that lasts 6 hours or more, you are going to have to get one that is much larger than a cigarette.

If you want the 'look like a real cigarette' to include size and shape, you can cut your battery life wish. The ego has the battery life because it is bigger and fatter than a real cigarette. You can find white batteries for the 510, and I believe I've seen tan/brown cartridges, but you would most likely need to fill them yourself, or hunt for a while to find the prefilled.

EDIT: I was wrong about the cartridges. What I saw were cartomizers.

why wouldnt they make it look like a real cigarette? i feel like that should be a huge selling point in this whole thing...i have found starter kits that have everything i want but they only offer either empty cartridges or full strength nicotine...thanks for the reply!

No one wants to look like they're smoking a cigarette. Unless you want people to throw rocks at you. Vape with something that doesn't look like a cig, people don't know what you're doing or if you're doing anything at all.

What you want does not exist (bolded "wants").

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

If looks are your most important criteria, just get an auto battery M402. It's the same size as the real thing. The battery will give you about 30-45 minutes on a charge. Unless you only smoke 6-7 cigarettes a day, you will need to buy quite a few extra batteries with the M402. I would say about 5-6 batteries at least. You would have to move up to a bigger model to get longer battery time.

No. Nothing that looks like a cigarette lasts 6 hours.

And the only American Spirits thing I know is a liquid (for filling your own)

Smallest I would recommend is a white Joye 510 manual (Joye only, not a clone) and filll tan Boge cartomizers yourself with thinner juices for good life of the cartomizer. Manual so the end is sealed against being damaged or killed by juice leaks, easier to get a good hit, won't turn on by accident in wind or vibration.

Only 180mah (100mah is 1 hour of moderate vaping) - See LiteCigUSA.net and Liberty-Flights.com and ask them to make sure the LED is red or orange.

Get tan Boge cartomizers at NiteLiteVapor (you have to use standard resistance i.e. 2.8-3.0 ohm Boge 510 cartos since the hotter LR ones are only for really big batteries 450mah+)

Thick VG juices make the most vapor but are hard to use in cartomizer, causing singeing etc. Get American Spirit eliquid at FreedomSmokeUSA and I recommend 80PG/20VG for cartomizers. You should be able to get 4-7 days good use out of a cartomizer.

It's about an hour per 100 mah. So a 180 mah batttery is about 2 hours new. Each battery has about 200 cycles, so if your recharging the same batteries all day they won't last long.

Manuals are better because there is less chance of juice getting into the battery and ruining the battery. You also control the inhale with a manual battery.

I really don't know exactly how long my 510 batteries last, because I regularly switch them on the charger. Between the two I have, I've only drained them to blinking two or three times in almost a week, and that because I had both with me and forgot which was most recently charged.

If you can get over the LOOKS aspect, to me the 510 FEELS like a cigarette. My big decider was the mouth/hand fixation. Straight tube and lighter weight were what I needed. Not only to mimic the similarities with cigarettes, but with pens/pencils also. I could play with it in my hands, hold it in my mouth without using my hands, etc...

The tactile aspect started with pens/pencils, and after I started smoking, I picked up the same habits with the cigarette. So the 510 felt normal when I got it. Half the time, I'm not even vaping, but just playing with it.

It's a cigarette brand. Never smoked them, but far as I know, it's just a strong non menthol cigarette taste. They advertise "no additives" and charge more than most cigs.

I would say good performance mimics the sensation you get when you smoke a cigarette. Vaping isn't exactly like smoking a cigarette- you don't get the immediate nicotine hit you do with a cigarette. You absorb the nicotine differently. It's slower. But if you crave a cigarette, a decent pv with the correct amount of nicotine for you will satisfy that craving.

I consider a poor performance with a pv sort of like sucking a milkshake through a straw. Not getting adequate TH or vapor production. This varies from person to person though.

If you really want a pv that looks like a cigarette, if you're a light smoker you might like the Smoke Tip.

Cheap Electronic Cigarette

It's a KR808. Has a lifetime warranty on batteries. There are other (maybe better, maybe cheaper) pvs on the market, but for what you're asking for- prefilled cartomizers and looks like a cigarette, this does.

Actually, I was just reading yesterday that the less you drain the batts between charges, the more life you can get out of them.

That's true but that's not what I'm saying. If you have two batteries that last two hours and you're continually recharging them all day long, they won't last long. If you recharge them before they die, which in this case might be an hour they will last longer but they're only going to last so long.

If I have a 1000 mah battery that I charge 1 time a day, and a 180 battery that I charge 5 times a day, the 1000 will last longer.

this is true...the no additives (although im sure there are) is huge though...if you smoke spirits for a month and then try a camel or marb you can taste the chemicals in them...spirits also have more tobacco in them and you only need 5-6 light "hits" to pack them...also even when you do that you still have to unpack each individual cigarette or it will take you 15 min to smoke them....back to the no additives though...they were bought by camel either the early 90s or 00s so you can do the math on that one...
