Suggestions to replace my vivi nova

I recently bought two vivi novas both of them I'm not satisfied with one leaks and the other one has a dark metallic taste even after oxidizing the Wicks and coils like suggested so does anyone have any other suggestions to replacement of the Vivi nova tank with I know there are a lot of evods and other tank style systems out there just wondering what you guys think I should replace them with I'm looking for lots of vapor and not so much worried about throat hit. Also I'd like to be able to rebuild my new tank atty easily

thanks and happy vaping:p

Hi Jonathan and welcome!

First of all, are your ViVi Novas genuine (Vision)? There are many knockoffs out there and some of them are horrid.

Having said that, I prefer bottom coil clearomizers like Kanger BCC--I really like them all: T3S, baby T3. eVod and the ProTanks (I have Version 2--those can be taken apart for cleaning). That would be my first choice.

If you like top coils, the T2 (also Kanger) is nice. Among the dual coils, my favorite is the Aspire ET-S (glass, eGo threaded).

Good luck and happy vaping!

I am happy with my nova for what it is, but bcc is much better IMO. Less finicky, cheaper heads, pretty much no leaking.
If you want to recoil, look into the rebuildables. You'll have a ton more options with your coil, and rebuilding is much easier. I have no experience with these personally, but I've read a lot about them and plan to grab one in a few months (I'm thinking fogger v3). I have rebuilt some pro tank heads, and it's not terrible, but expect to throw you first few rebuilt coils away... And get an ohms tester (I wouldn't use a mod...)
Good luck!

In my fishing tackle "vapinig" box I stared on the top coil vivi novas, then migrated to the BCC's, then migrated to the protank style, then to the RBA's (I am currently happy between protank and genesis RBA's)

After I learned to rebuild using cotton AFTER I learned you can "tuneup" protank coils with a cotton flavor wick

So...my progession has been
CE4
CE4S (serviceable)
Vivi nova mini (top coil)
BCC
Protanks (fullsize/mini) - RBA's
a. Cotton Flavor wick (AWESOME)
b. Full cotton microcoil rebuild (WHOAH AWESOME what took me so long)

Next will probably be dripper or sub ohm (but I really don't want to go there)

YMMV (your mileage may vary)

I gotta second (third, fourth...what are we up to now?) the Kanger series. The mini-pro has been a solid performer for me on the eGo setup and with a 510-eGo adapter, works well enough on a mod. I also like the eVod style for sampling, stealth vaping and times where mobility reigns. I also have a Pro-Tank, but it's a lot more finicky than both the eVod and the mini Pro-tank.

It's a pretty economical system if you can take on rebuilding the coils. You can usually do a much better job than the factory and it doesn't take a huge investment to get started, depending of course on how "pro" or experimental you want to go with it. I didn't find it all that difficult at all, but some people out there struggle with it. The beauty of the above triad of heads is that they all take the same style atomizer, so you can have different heads for different purposes and you just have to learn to rebuild one system. I have found the Pro-Tanks prefer a slightly different wicking than the eVod and mini-Pro, as for some reason, they're more prone to flooding than the other two.

I've been playing recently with ekowool in the Kanger coils and I think I prefer it to straight silica. There was something about the cotton that I didn't care for as much, probably the difficulty in getting just the right amount. I'll still play with cotton as many swear by it, but silica and ekowool are both consistent and straight forward for rebuilds.
