Tried it about a year ago. Not very good with high temp and gives off fumes and bad flavor. Made a few cheap "Lines" using Sugru for the top to hold the posts and the wick. No good.
I'm not a modder, but I saw this stuff and thought some of you might want to check it out,its pretty cool! Is Sugru the future of fixing?

How about JB Steelstik? How does that do with high temperatures?

The JB steel-reinforced epoxy is rated to 450°F. It does not specifically say it's food-safe. You can however source epoxys which are certified food-grade: McMaster-Carr

Plumber's putty commonly contains Linseed oil which will smoke or burn when heated above ~250°F.

Mix 100% silicone and cornstarch, 1:1 will setup in <30min. Can make molds or plugs etc.
The cornstarch oxygenates the silicone from the inside out, made a mold of a wakeboard fin that was crushed and repaired it this way. Can be used for all sorts of things. Have not tried it with high temps though.

Thanks, Dan! I was thinking along the lines of adding something not permanent to stuff inside an rba to reduce the chamber volume, similar to what I believe you did with delrin

Should work I, there are a lot of silicone seals in attys like the RSST, CHID, AGA etc on the post seal. So no reason why it would not work provided you don't get too close to the coil.

was going to recommend the at home method of making the stuff! I used it to repair some t-top weather stripping, you can mix more/less cornstarch depending on how hard you want it to be in the end. Also was thinking about making a custom grip out of the stuff so my mod would be made for my hand specifically. Would never think about heating the stuff.
You can also get different color ink to dye the SIlicone (mix dye with silicone the clear stuff to get colors)
side note, also used this stuff to make a few pairs of custom in-ear headphones and worked like a charm, really molds to your own shape and after about 30 mins is hard enough to remove without loosing shape
