#2 - Currently air conditioning is my FAVE summer thing. It gets bloody hot in lower alabama... Being outside in daytime is not on my top 10 things to do.

Kelly Park (Rock Springs Run) in Apopka FL (near Orlando) - It's a favorite place for Floridians and any tourists who are lucky enough to discover it. It's a relaxing yet fun-filled alternative to all the theme park attractions in the area. Spring-fed 70 degree water, easy lazy floating along in a tube or raft, or just swimming or snorkeling down it. Park is gorgeous, well-kept, has picnic shelters, a snack bar, restroom and changing facilities, etc. Also has a campground for overnight or longer stays! Admitance to the park for the day (8AM-6PM in summer) is less than $10 per car load up to 5 people.

I personally go down the run on a tube with no center hole in it, or in a raft. No cold tush for me any more, at my age!

6/15 2. When I was young we belonged to a swim club. They had tennis courts for the old folks but I went in the big pool. I'd walk the block and a half barefoot over hot sidewalks with melting tar sticking to the bottoms of my bare feet. I was so glad to hit the shower then jump in that pool!
