I read a pulp novel a few years ago called "Smoke Screen" by Kyle Mills, and I keep remembering it as I see people rant against the FDA. It's not a political tome, just a light novel, but in it are some very good points that deal directly with what's going on right now with the US fed and state govts in regard to e-cigs. Hint: Who makes the most money on each pack of cigarettes, and what would happen if people actually stopped smoking en masse?
It should be at a lot of used book stores and used on line. Anyway, it's a funny book - light read with an edge kind of thing. Sort of brings things into perspective regarding sin taxes and "tobacco education," without being pedantic or preachy or putting you to sleep.
