I'm just starting in on this but, I think I know what's going on. It was mentioned in that other thread that LEDs can backfeed power when exposed to light (Ya learn something new every day.). According to the pics on madvapes it looks like the LED is wired through the resistor to the gate of the mosfet. It must be getting enough voltage to activate the gate which is pretty surprising actually. The quick easy fix is to cut that resistor that you can see in the pics off the board. Your LED won't work anymore but I'd rather have that than have my box activating unexpectedly.
One thing I've noticed on here is that, if you give bad info, people are REALLY quick to correct you. So, even if I gave you a bad answer someone will come along and give you a good one.
This post was timely for me because I'm putting together some mods using mosfets and most people wire the LED up just like madvapes has it. I think I'll wire mine in parallel with the atomizer.
