I found this new pod from Suorin very interesting. I'm happy to see USB-C on a pod device --I think it might be the first. It's not common on box mods either but I hope that eventually more companies will switch to USB-C instead of micro-USB.

The removable battery is interesting also. The kit comes with 2 batteries and the batteries are so small that you could easily carry the extra in a shirt pocket. Also, it is cheaper to buy the replacement batteries ($9) instead of new device ($20) if the battery dies.

Looking forward to more information about the pods.

At $20 I would expect the device to die before the battery but the fact that you can charge one while using the other without being tethered to the charger is nice. Reminiscent of the iShare. With these cheap pod devices coil quality/vapor quality is the deciding factor in my opinion.

Just curious, but why the fuss about USB-C on a device like this? The ONLY thing you gain is the ability to ignore how you plug it in (it's reversable). Any other potential gain from USB-C is completely wasted on a mod (box, pod, or otherwise). Keeping with micro-USB (USB-B) means that people probably already have half a dozen (or more) compatible cables lying around they could use if needed.

Now if we are talking about hooking up an external hard drive to a computer/laptop then absolutely USB-C would be preferred.

I don't understand how anyone would want to use micro-USB. If you do a search, you'll find lots of complaints about the micro-USB no longer working. I think USB-C is less likely to break. My main user is a box mod with USB-C and I greatly prefer it. Try it.

Cable is included with the kit if you don't already have dozens of them.

Maybe. I have never had any issues with any of my micro-USB devices or the cords. I guess I can see how people that have might prefer something new that could be less problematic for them.

Can't. I don't own anything with a type C slot and I'm not going to go buy something just to try it. I imagine that eventually everything will be type C anyway, so I'll try it when I happen to buy something that has it.

Either way, I am glad you are happy with it. I was just curious what the fuss was about.
