Yes. they are flat tops. Mocha-ninja, do you use button covers? The firing pin needs to travel further w/ flat buttontops. Button covers don't allow for sufficient travel.

Ohhhh...you know that could be it.

Although, I am using the derlin covers on both Grands. I'm going to play with it to figure it out. The AW IMR's are still in rotation so it isn't crucial.

After 48 hours installed, still kicking .... And less than ten hours was sleep.

While I appreciate the post, I wish people would give an accurate description of actual vape time. 48 means nothing to me unless I know how much juice was consumed in that time. It would also be beneficial to know what kind of atomizer was used and the resistance of the coil.

I don't mean to come off sounding harsh, but this extra information would allow for better real world comparisons. For example, with a .6 ohm coil in my RM2 I go through approximately 3ml of juice before I feel I need to recharge my AW ImR 1600mah batteries.

all the wrong batteries. The link does not reference the battery.(as Mocha pointed out)
No it does not it was a old bookmarked summary of different batts I thought might be interesting. With exception of the AWs none are recommended by Rob. :)
Interesting charts. If I'm seeing correctly, it shows the 1600 mAH AW IMR as longer than the 2000 mAH? That's not the case with the ones I have.

And you'd be right. :)

Good point. I go through 6ml on a light day. So if both days were light...minimum 10ml. Coil is 1.2 ohm.

Thanks to my phone, I could have posted this from anywhere.

I think that's what the orbitronic is, only with a button top. When you alter (solder a button top) onto a Panasonic battery, you can't call it a Panasonic anymore.

You can buy this battery at most battery related retail shops ie. Batteries plus bulbs, batteries warehouse, maybe even some Radio Shacks

Just a little follow up I meant to do last week.

Another trip. I had to leave early Monday morning, put a fresh battery in Sunday before bed, so a little use. But the time I got home Friday evening, I had ONLY used the two Panny batteries. I did NOT run them dead. I went with a 1.9 ohm coil and seriously can not believe it. Six bottle fillings (that I recall), incredible if you ask me.

What I neglected to do, was meter the remaining power. I got home and charged out of habbit. I am going to meter one after two days next time. I'm sure they weren't hitting as hard as some demand, but the pure fact that I made it that long on two batteries amazes me. My 30ml travel bottle was almost empty when I got home, and I had a full bottle when I put the batt in Sunday evening.

Those Panasonic 18650PD are Panasonic's successor to the grey 18650CH - with similar characteristics. They are good up to 10A, but I only use them in regulated mods, where they do really great.

In mech mods I prefer other cells (Samsung 20R, Sony Konion VTR4) for their better voltage stability and lower internal resistance, for Grands it's the AW IMR 1600s - or Samsung 20R with nipples that I have, when the AW IMR are charging.

For a good battery comparison see lygte-info.dk (danish, posted above) or dampfakkus.de (german, partly english).
This link is for the ..PD cell: AkkuDB (scroll down to find a comparison to the ..CH cell)
