hi i just built a 26ga twisted dual parallel coils in a royal hunter ontop a cherry bomber dual 18650 clone with magnets and all the other best upgrades other than a full copper box. the coil was a little thought i had since i wanted a warmer vape and its size is a litter smaller than a macro and larger than a micro. after hitting it a few times and the vape and button being almost too hot to keep vaping almost, i wanted to know what my ohms are and when i put it up to my multi meter i got a reading of .001. i didnt think that was possible and my friend brought over his rda tester and we got a reading of .000 so its not just my multi meter. my questions here are is this build safe and what batteries should i use if i should even be using this right now

i rebuilt the coils got the same reading its all connecting my multi meter makes a sound when its completeing a circuit

To answer your other question let's look at the facts a bit
Ohms law right? Okay so you have 18650s 2 of them.. in parallel. No 18650 on the market is 'safe' above a 20 amp continuous draw in the long run, you might get away with a few quick pulses higher than that here and there but it results in instant massive voltage drop soooo no.. don't believe the wraps on the rewraps!
That gives you 40-ish amps to play with right? Ohms law says that current draw equals voltage divided by resistance. Let's say your batteries are freshly charged so you have 4.2 volts ( I = U/R ==> 40 = 4.2 / ? ==> ? = 4.2/40 ==> ? = 0.105 ), so yea the absolute minimum build that I would say is 'theoretically safe' to vape on a paralell box is a .1 build, not counting the actual resistance of your mod and batteries (which is another story all-together).
I on the other hand wouldn't go below 0.3 on any mod for any reason (not counting temp control ofc). I'm sorry to say this and I hope I don't offend anyone but you just don't need to go lower. If you're not satisfied with the vape or cloud size at that point.. there are other options.

Hope that helped!
Cheers and stay safe! :)

Anyway... didn't bother much with your definition of your coils when I replied.. but I just followed through :)
So what you're saying is that you twisted 2 strands of 26 AWG kanthal into a single wire.. you then made another twisted wire.. and used the two to make a parallel (2 strand) coil... then made another one of those coils.. and put them in dual-coil setup? Is that right?... Ouch...
Assuming you did that on a 3mm bit and assuming you made 4 wraps like Rip trippers in his video.. that would put you at around 0.08 ohms 52.5 amp draw.. and 220.5 watts... no wonder your button was hot, that's kinda like an explosion waiting to happen :D.
That's why one should never watch Rip Trippers coil tutorials without reading up on stuff first... and also the reason why I dislike him.. kinda irresponsible of him putting all that stuff out there without a proper disclaimer, think of all the people who might try the same based on his videos :D
For your own safety I advise you to rethink that build a bit :) I'm pretty sure there is something out there that can be a satisfying vape but at the same time far less dangerous.

In the meantime keep on vaping (but not at 220w pls) and stay safe!

I was going to say the builder is going to want to up the Continuous Amp's on the Batteries.

The one component of electricity people overlook. Not saying the OP doesn't know what he is doing but a lot, too many, people really don't understand what is going on when they hit that fire button.

This msg isn't directed at anyone. So just Chill Out, relax and have a vape!

@sidsthekid678 i need to point something out to you!

The Big Copper ring you see inside the Cherry Bomber has a tendency to spin and contact the fire button and will auto fire!

When screwing on or off an rda the brass 510 connector your rda sits on will spin and will in turn spin that copper ring.

Always take out your batteries to screw on or off your rda and then check everything is still tight before installing them back in.

For peace of mind i always have a flathead screwdriver on me when im using the cherrybomber, then atleast you can unscrew the batteries(turn off the power).

You can also buy one of these to screw onto it and leave it installed and it will save any chance of spin--> $3.34 Kepler 510 Finned Heat Sink for Atomizers - aluminum / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

its not the mod, batterys, 510, etc, its simply cause your building to close to a dead short which doesn't leave room for error. you said you started vaping and then your lips started to melt, and THEN you were curious about the resistance? and then decided to check the resistance? maybe im reading your OP incorrectly, and excuse me if I am, but you didn't know the resistance before hand? and if your multimeter read the coil close to a dead short, then why would you continue my friend? honestly, with an unregulated device, imo you simply should go that low . seriously, if your posting a question asking if this coil is safe or not, you really shouldn't be diving into something as potentially dangerous as what your describing. I am sorry to be so blunt about my comments, but I just don't want anyone to get hurt, or for anyone reading the OP, to try the same thing without absolute knowledge of what they are doing first. good luck my friend and be safe
