I've been without tobacco for a week :( I was so excited...bought a fifty-one trio and another as a backup (kits were 24 bucks each and included 15 cartridges each.) I told a few of my friends who decided to take the steps as well to stop smoking and start vaping...

The end result is that the store I've been shopping at for my entire life went from 7.99 for a 5 pack of cartridges, to 8.89 within two days. That was ok...still affordable. But then 11.89 within 4 days and today I hear he has raised the price to 15 bucks for 5 cartridges. I can get better price online.

He also raised the price on his starter kits to 49.99...this is really a matter of principle than anything. That's a huge jump in LESS than a week.

I want to purchase a good kit that is affordable...any mixing I'd have to do is fine but I'm totally lost and really hope someone can help.

I want a good battery...not a weak one. I want nicotine between 18 and 20mg and a good menthol e-juice...can anyone make some suggestions please? I don't even know where to begin to look and I don't want to get stuck with garbage again! And I certainly don't want to go back to analogs :(

Look at an eGo kit and 10 cartomizers as a good safe start. Madvapes and Libertyflights are vendors that have a lot of offerrings and are liked by most members. I've had great service from Bluemist for liquid and Goodprophets for equipment. You can refill your cartomizers with liquid many times - ECF has postings showing you how, also Youtube. Get 5ml samplers of menthols 'till you find your faves, then get a couple 30ml bottles. Keep extra batteries and juice with you for emergencies. Keep researching and asking here at ECF - lots of people helped me. Cliff notes version - good luck!

There are a lot of good online suppliers out there just go to the Forum Suppliers tab to get started. I also began with a 51 Trio and they use a standard 510 threading so you have lots of options with those batteries you already have. I don't use menthol so can't help with the juice but Boge SR 510 cartos work really well with my Trio batts.

Ill give a list of everything you'll need for a great and affordable setup.

From liberty-flights.com (click 20% discount in upper left):
Riva lite kit - 29.99
A 510 driptip of your choosing - ~$2
5 Pack of Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers - $7.99

All you need then is juice, I personally recommend pinkspotvapors.com (pink spot is excellent and tastes like pink lemonade, their dutch apple pie is the only apple pie I've found that tastes like *baked* apples, not fake apple). I've liked just about everything from them.

If you like menthol in your juice rawrvapor.com seems to specialize in it, great juice overall. Their default selection for menthol is a medium menthol, and they really do suggest menthol in their juice. Id recommend trying the Hawaii Sunrise.

If you like the Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers, you can get 15 of them for $20 and free shipping @ crystalclearvaping.com

This setup allows you to try dripping and cartomizers, it includes cartridges in the Riva kit but cartridges suck.

The Riva is an ego style battery that runs @ 3.7v rather than the egos 3.2, it is also 750mah. The general conversion is 100mah = 1 hour of vaping, so each one should last ~7.5hrs and the kit includes two.

This setup will be way beyond your previous one, you won't even consider analogs.
