Each person who posts in the thread (for purposes of entering the raffle) has to post the link to the petition in their post. We may not know whether or not they signed it, but at least we will know that they knew where to go if they wanted to sign it.

For the list of prizes, I need to know exactly what people are dontaing, how many raffles they will donate to and a link to your site!

Raffle for Awareness!

In spite of their obvious benefit over smoking tobacco cigarettes, groups such as the American Lung ASsociation, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and the FDA are trying to ban electronic cigarettes from being sold in the U.S.

The Vapers Coalition, in partnership with CASAA, the National Vapers Club, Midwest Vapers Group, has created a petition (http://EcigssaveLives.info) to these groups, demanding they reverse their stance on electronic cigarettes. The petition also informs them that failure to do so will result in the immediate withdrawl of support and donations by the petitioners.

Electronic cigarette vendors support and wish to bring attention to this petiton with a "Raffle for Awareness" with 1-3 prizes for every 1,000 petition signatures!

1. After every 1,000 signatures, a notice will be posted in this thread that the raffle has started.

2. Post a message in the thread after the announcement and your post number will be your raffle "ticket." (More than one post disqualifies your entry.)

3. Spread the word about the petition (the more signatures it gets, the more chances for you to win) and watch to see if you won!

4. If you don't win, be sure to come back after the next 1,000 signatures and try again!

5. Even if you don't win a prize, we ALL win if we can stop the bans!!

Raffle Prizes Donated to Date:

5 bottles of any type of e-liquid of the signers choice incl shipping (Donated by Dear clients)

Not trying to convince you to do that, just wanted to make sure you considered it.
Regardless, this looks like a great idea and the approach is solid.


My donation will be one-time-only and will be based on suggestions.
--A custom made Chuck or Little Chuck
--A Tasty Vapor gift pack of juices
--Gift certificate to the vendor of the winner's choice
--Anything else that people think is a good idea up to $100

Although I may donate again if the vendors don't keep it rolling.

Cute idea, but I don't want to have to sort through them all. It'll be tough enough to make sure they don't post more than once, lol!

I think the whole point is raising awareness and there will be a link to the petition, so I'm sure people will go sign. (Since that's the whole point of an awareness raffle!)

Actually, it will be VERY easy to make sure nobody posts more than once.

Just click on "Replies" next to the thread listing and you get a listing, sorted by number of replies and alphabetical order, of how many posts each person has in the thread. And since only new people should post in the thread, rather than allowing people to post again every 1,000 posts, nobody should ever be shown as having 2 posts!

If the winner posted more than once, they will be right there at the top of the list.
