Everyone poses as manufacturers. Most manufacturers are not very marketing savvy. You may search for manufacturer names at trading sites such as Alibaba and still find agents/ traders posing as the manufacturer. The manufacturer will usually not mind this at all, as they'll still get business at the end of the day and not have to spend resources on an in house marketing department.

Stick to those who can prove themselves. Just like you'd ask a cop for an ID.

Meeting with "manufacturers" face to face on "their turf" (in their actual facilities whether Beijing, Shenzen, etc.) is the only way to be sure.

Also watch out for suppliers claiming to be manufacturers that warn you about other suppliers...Also companies that change thier names alot, usually signal that there is dishonesty some where in the ranks... You can find many alledged suppliers on the internet as well that claim to have exclusive rights to products only to find out that it is just a PIPE dream and they are just another repackager...There are actually very few ecig "factories" and there are currently no legal ones in the USA...anyone that tells you different, you might want ID them before sending them money

Thats true but there are some tell tale signs too. Manufacturers will always provide you with the latest models. They know their products inside out. They WILL use the official company letterhead to send invoices to you (and not some other company that they claim is their sister/ brother company). Good manufacturers are concerned with getting repeat orders from you. Traders/ agents are more concerned with getting their share of the commission first (sometimes getting the whole sum and not delivering anything to you).

I am currently searching for real, reliable manufacturers. Does anyone know of any? Who produces the Ruyan stuff?

Forget Ruyan stuff. They are highly marked up and pretty much mediocre in quality.

I'm sure there are many genuine manufacturers out there. I've not bought wholesale to sell before. I recommend Smoore/ absolutelyecigs. Shoot them a mail at absolutelyecigs@gmail.com

Their service and reliability is as good as they come.

I'm actually not doing business with her because I got better pricing elsewhere and because it seems that everyone here is using 24mg, but I was very impressed with Jasmin's integrity actually. She didn't want to sell me 24mg e-liquid because she felt that high of a niccotine content was simply not good for you. She didn't want me to change those for more 18mgs or anything, she shot me an e-mail explaining her position and asked if it was okay to simply cancel the 24mgs. That's integrity.

As for passing herself as a manufacturer, in every discussion I had with her, she called the products KR-xxx. She didn't try to hide that they were Kanger or pass them off as DSE or RN. Finally, even if she did make up model names and pass them off as their own, look around the room you're in right now, and I can safely bet that offer half of the branded items you are looking at were produced in other companies factories.

Look at Ralph Lauren products at various store: the Ralph suits at Dillard's and the Lauren suits at the Bon (might have those backwards) are not even close to the same suit. Find a Nike only shoe factory. Even drugs are made this way. I used to work for a generic pharmacuetical manufacturer that didn't have a manufacturing plant anywhere - we even had ANDAs for the drugs. What's the difference if TransenPower "made" the devices?
