dagda825, thank you so much for serving. I think we should all as you say, "have a soft touch when it comes to vets". When I 1st met my fiancee I was impressed when I saw her get her income tax refund and write a sizable check to the DAV. I know a lot of people donate to the Disabled American Vets but..........my fiancee came here from India in the early 80's. She is a citizen now and is an instructor in a community college. She is grateful to our Vets and she isn't even born here. It's verrrry cool what Midwest Vapor is doing for the Vets. Out of curiosity I PM'd MV assuming e-cig forums would be the perfect place to sell raffle tickets like this. I was shocked when I was told exactly how few have been sold through the forums. We've all got our own opinion but so many of us forget we have the right to state our opinion thanks to our Vets. It's a very noble thing MV is doing and they make it easy for us to show some gratitude to our Vets. Just a couple clicks and the sacrifice of a couple days worth of juice. If enough of us do it, it will help them out soooo much. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. It would be so cool if more of us buy a ticket or two to help out our Vets. (besides there are some really cool prizes!)

This is sad to say, but not many people are participating in this. As of now, if you purchased 1 ticket, you have a 1 in 5 chance of winning.

I have more prize packages I was going to add on to this if we sold more tickets. But as of now I see no need to add anymore prizes. But I will do it if the ticket sales go up.

Even if you dont buy a ticket to show support for the military vets. Please do remember them on Nov 11th, they have risked their lives for us.

I will be drawing Saturday Nov 7th and will continue to sell tickets until then. For those that have purchased tix, as of right now you have a GREAT chance of winning.

Also I would like to show support for our troops throughout the year. How would you all feel about a monthly drawing for a monthly prize and the tix will be $1? This just something I have been thinking about

Appreciate your efforts here Jay. The VFW is an excellent organization, and if there's any raffle in town to be had it's certainly one for the VFW.

And for whatever reason one has for not entering the raffle, consider donating some [cheap] items to the Red Cross (for it's OIF and OEF operations). Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, small non-durables and perishables, etc., etc. You can spend less than $5 and still make a service member's day. Having been on deployment myself, I can say that - as lame as it might sound - it meant a lot to go to the Red Cross and pick up things like toothbrushes and whatnot; it showed that support was there.

And if you want to do something extra, look at what's offered:

Soldiers Angels

Operation Gratitude

Giddy Giftbox

USO

Maybe somebody will even consider donating an e-cigarette starters kit (if the fighting doesn't get em', then the smoking will). Thanks Jay, and much thanks to our current service members.
