Figure this would be the forum to post this on. So I'm sitting here staring at my kayfun clone, with the clear tank reinstalled after using the metal for over a month, with lots of dangerous juices in rotation... and thinking, surely there's got to be a way to crack proof these things from the inside... like what if I lined the inside of the tank with clear tape, or clear nail polish, or some such thing to separate the juice from the plastic.

Dangerous idea most likely, those things could react with the juice in some way that might cause health risks when vaped. I dont know so I'm not willing to try. But I'm curious if anyone has experimented in this direction of things.

dont mean to hijack the thread, but could you tell me/us what make a juice dangerous? ( or can you post a link to more info please?) ive heard that some juices will eventually cause a plastic tank to crack... what properties of the juice cause it to crack? does it happen with category specific juices? ( ie: tobacco flavored juices, or high PG content juice, or high VG content juice, etc.)

again sorry if this is considered a thread hijack...

Google search biz...

Def don't use nail polish op, scary stuff there, I was thinking why not cut out a juice bottle, that kind of plastic seems to work fine, try to line a tank somehow... Would be tricky, tin foil would be easy but obviously ruin the see through aspect, I just had my first tank crack and it's such crap they can't use the right plastic to prevent this.

Juices that are known to crack (or even MELT in some cases) plastic tanks are usually citrus, cinnamon, strong menthols, cloves, and licorice/absinthe types of juice. OH, and banana seems to be a culprit as well.

Just go to glass. It is worth the few extra bucks for safety and usually better performance.

I agree with just go glass or stainless steel. There is no need to go backwards, when everything has progressed so much in just the past year.

Yes tape or nail polish would be hazardous to your health, just like using 'tank cracker' juices in a plastic tank is probably not good for you.

Don't try to rig up a solution. Search for PP or polypropylene on vape websites if you want to find a plastic tank that can hold those juices. Try unflavored too, if you haven't already. It's not bad at all and dirt cheap to make. I actually wouldn't mind having a PP clearo (Ce5 style) so it wouldn't matter if it drops, but I've not seen one.

Ok just re-read the OP. I'll try to be more helpful.

IF this is acurate, then you might want a Tobeco clone replacement tank. I have a feeling it's not acurate but don't have time to research it.

Kayfun Lite Rebuildable Tank Atomizer Clone

....Interesting, I'm seeing different websites selling different clones (ehpro, hcigar, etc) and they're advertising PP tanks...
EHPro Kayfun 3.1

If you can get your hands on a frosted tank, there is a chance it will actually be PP. Perfectly clear usually means polycarbonate or acrylic.
