Had to share a bit of, well as the title says, surprising support for the industry at our family's Thanksgiving get together.
We went to my wife's Aunt's house for Thanksgiving. Before we left my wife admonished me to vape outside, I believe on her mother's orders. I have no problems taking it outside , just to be clear. Within an hour of our arrival it starts raining and I find myself in the garage grabbing a beer with Uncle Dennis and I ask him if the garage counts as outside. His response and our following conversation filled me with hope. "Outside, inside, I don't care because it doesn't stink." Then we talked about how while we still don't have the long term effects buttoned down we do know about the lack of second hand issues. He thinks vaping is the only "game changing" smoke cessation tool. His only call for regulation is solid knowledge of what goes in our juice, which is something I told him the industry was trying to be very transparent about as to avoid imposing harsh regulation.
All in all a great conversation made even better by the fact that Dennis is our family's de facto medical adviser because he is a Physician Assistant. Better support in my family arguments couldn't be found. It's coming from someone they trust not a handful of unknown scientists they've never met.
For this lovely event I am thankful! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
