It was a few years before I saw my first vaper in the wild, but I'm seeing them more and more.
Just this weekend in downtown San Diego we saw two guys leaning up against a building and getting their vape on.

I also saw a guy about two weeks ago who was vaping as he was walking through the parking lot on the way to Frazier Farms.

I live on one of the 'outer" island in Hawaii. Its impossible to go through any of the towns in hawaii without
crossing paths with a handful of vapers each day. Its Very popular.
The only incident that really ticked me off was about a week ago, while in the local "Foodland" supermarket
a man in his 20s walking in the aisle with what looked to be an eGO 510 900 or 1000mAh size set up with unknown carto
atop was clearly vaping "420", and exhaling the odorous vape or apparently more like "smoke" throughout the store. The butcher from the meat department picked up on it right away and a conversation ensued-complaint actually. I was on the phone with a pal in VA at the time, I expressed my anger too.
I felt it was "just to see if he could get away with it!" ...
well medical 420 is legal in the state...but like all controlled medications..it is also very highly regulated.
The upshot of irresponsible actions like this will undoubtedly hurt the ecig vapors more than the 420 users...
as it will wind up with banned use of vape in public being enforced.

This is weird, but I have never yet seen a SINGLE vaper "out there"! The people at my vape shop vape, but that just stands to reason. I'm wondering when I'm ever going to see an e-cig or mod in public. I myself don't vape in public (I didn't smoke in public either), just in my car, but still...

Some species of vapers have adapted to their environment by camouflaging themselves, and can be very difficult to spot.
