Survived my first power outage!

We have know for a couple of days that bad storms were coming and this was the first time I have been faced with no power. I have a Provari and a Mvp...First thing I did was charge up my MVP cause it lasts the longest and if I had too I could charge my cell with it...very handy feature!....Then I had like 5 18650 batteries so the day before the storm I was in a charging frenzy!

Packed me a bag with lots of vape stuff including my charger to take in the shelter...just in case there was nothing left when I came out. The power did go out but only for a few hours. Thinking about getting a few more batteries just in case.

Things were simpler smoking but I wouldn't go back for anything!

I keep disposables for that. Also, a feed through lets you vape in the car. There are a lot of other devices available to provide power when the lights go out.

It's good that you're taking so many precautions! I hope every thing is alright out where you are. I know we're expecting 3 days straight of major storms here as well. It's a shame about these weather conditions and what they've already done to some places.

I really need to invest in more batteries, although I could try and connect my battery charger to the outlet adapter my husband bought for the cars in case of an emergency. I've got 2 18350 and an 18490 for my Provari Mini, two iTaste VV v3's and one MVP2 in the house. I also have two personal charging cases and several 808D1's for last resort. Oh, and an innokin 510 AIO starter kit that my mother in law refuses to use anymore, along with her ego I guess. All e-liquid and e-cigarettes have been labeled as poison to her now, due to the bad press. If it's on the news, it MUST be true. She's been trying to get my husband and I back on to cigarettes!

My obsession for backups really helped out when I lost power for a couple days last month. I wasn't really expecting the bad weather so I got lucky that most of my 18650's were charged up. I have since got a car adapter for my nitecore charger so I can charge from my car. I also got a couple 18650 led flashlights ordered since I learned the hard way that all my flashlights kinda suck.

Having a external Power Bank to charge USB devices is a Great thin to have.

I picked up one on e-Bay which uses 4 18650 batteries. And 4 el-Cheapo Trustfire 18650's for it. Works great.

I feel for anyone losing power; it is a major PITA! I live in Florida, so we have a generator, as do most of my neighbors...
In 2004 we had five Hurricanes and lost power for five days for the first time and four days the second time, so we learned our lesson...

To me a nitecore with one of these is money well spent. As long as you are somewhere a vehicle you can charge.
