I have been watching reviews and reading articles on the SVD and am fairly impressed with what I have found, so I am seeing myself as a near future owner of this great little device. But, I would like to know if any owners have "pet peeves" about the device. Anything about the device that you find frustrating or totally disappointing?

Its a good solid device. Better than many.

It is a tad heavy and enjoys using batteries. Other than that, Its a very versatile device. I dont use mine anymore, but both iof mine are still in use by other vapers and I bought mine months and months ago when they first came out. They rode on my Harley Handle bars in a metal cup holder for many a ride bumping and vibrating down the road with no issues..

Good Luck !!

Love mine. Haven't had any issues yet. Using an Aspire BDC and a IBtank/carto on it lately. Best suggestiom IMO is to just buy the SVD and not the entire kit. I bought the kit with the two iclear30s but didnt like the iclears. You can find an SVD new for around 40 bucks with a little searching.

It's a good device... the only problem is that it is not a looker... She comes engraved with emblems of what the buttons are and lines pointing to everything... It's not even intuitive or helpful... just ugly...

I think its a very good looking mod myself.... to each his own.

I absolutely love my SVD. I have a Provari and while it gets used heavily, I use my SVD just as much. It's the only mod I like in shorty mode. I honestly have no qualms with it. I liked the fact that the button indicators are etched into the device itself. Won't rub off! And the biggest deal sealer for me was the fact that the buttons lock.

I guess so... looks are subjective. It does perform quite well none-the-less. BUT there are other choices if others think it is quite ugly... I'd go with a Lavatube V2.5 but you do have to pay a little more than you would with the SVD. It is worth the extra coin.

There's nothing quirky about the SDV. While it's controls are not initially intuitive, you'll have it all figured out after playing with it for awhile. Should you decide to go with it, it's well built and will last for years.

As far as eating batteries go, it's the iClear30 and the dual coil that use up the power. Put an iClear30s on it and you'll get huge clouds and great flavor from it at about 9 watts or so. But again, the iClear30 series perform well but it takes enery and juice to do that.

It's my understanding that FT also sells the real deal - just make sure the page says "genuine."

Had my SVD for only a couple months now, and love it. I personally find the multi button easier to navigate than the one button style. Being able to lock the settings is a great feature, even if it does take 5 seconds.

I do find that I have to take off the top collar for MT3S and the similar shaped metal clad AROs, but T3S and Evod go right through. Not a big deal.

Hard to say about vape time, lots of variables. But I find that with a 2900 mAh 19650, at my vape rate, I can pretty much count on two days. And it's easy to pocket another battery (in suitable container, of course), although if I'm going out for the day, I'll usually just pop in a fresh one and not bother.

Seems really solid and well made, glad I got it.

The Fast Tech SVD is perfectly authentic, I know because I have one. I like it very much, but often simply forget to use it because the MVP and the VTR are more my size and easier to take out of the house.

The SVD is beautifully made, easy to use and sturdy. If you like the long look, you will really like it.

.

I had wondered about this, because on FT it uses the term "Authentic" which I would take to mean that it is the real deal. They are under $37 there, and shopping around it looks like I should be able to order one in the U.S. for $50-60. I get impatient waiting so I may just spend the extra dough and order closer to home. But I had wondered if the FT "authentic" was what it actually claims to be, or if it may be a flawed version or something like that. FT has such a huge selection of cool stuff on the cheap, but between the lack of qc, and the long shipping time, I always resist the urge to place orders like a mad man!!!!

How do you know it's authentic..?
