Ok so I just got an SVD to replace my v2 vamo as my main pv been great till last night. I ran a set of stacked 350's in it for the day and now a single 650 won't fire in it I keep getting the lou message. Running stacked 350's isn't a big deal and if that's all i can do now so be it but im still rather annoyed by the whole thing.

So is the something i have to do to get it to read the voltage cut off point properly again or did i just get a bum SVD?

Also:

"Note: Before you make a switch between one battery and two batteries, please hold the power button for 5 seconds to release the remaining capacity in the mainboard. (when you make a switch from one battery to two batteries, the mainboard will keep the one battery' settings if you haven't released the remaining capacity; and vice versa.)"

Did you used protected batteries? SVD has a protected circuit and often doesnt work with protected batteries.

I run both protected and non-protected batteries in my SVD without any issues (Samsung, UltraFire and TrustFire). They're all 18650's, but no issues to date with read-out, firing or anything else.

If the one battery isn't firing but the others are, you may want to try another if you have one handy, or see if you can hit a local B&M shop to test another battery of the same type. If you have a Batteries Plus near you, they have them and all the ones I've visited have them in the store (so they won't have to order them). If not, you try RadioShack.

The battery could just be a dud, unless it's firing in another mod without any issues (i.e. Vamo)

What you're seeing is a "V" not a "U" on the display. The "LOV" message means Low Voltage. When you went with the Dual 18350's, the chip inside the SVD set itself to check for a certain voltage range based on the batteries being used. For two 18350's that'd be 7.2v to 7.6v .

When you switch back to the 18650, a 4.2v battery, without doing a reset, the SVD continues searching for the same 7.2v to 7.6v that the two 18350's were providing which isn't present in the 18650 so you get the "LOV" message.

You need to do a reset on the SVD to use the 18650 again :). The following was quoted from their site:

Note: Before you switch between one battery and two batteries configurations, please hold the power button for 5 seconds to release the remaining power in the circuit board. (when you make a switch from one battery to two batteries, the circuit board will keep the single battery settings if you haven’t released the remaining capacity; and vice versa.)

No problem :).

The reason you didn't have issues when moving from a single 18650 to dual 18350's is because you're increasing voltage as you make the transition. Once the chip adjusts to regulate higher voltages, it'll throw an error when you put in a different battery, or set of batteries that amount to less than the total voltage of the previous.

So if you went with a single 18350 battery and moved to a 18650 and then to dual 18350's, you'd have no issues. On the other hand, if you move from an 18650 to an 18350 or moved from dual 18350's to an 18350 ect - then you will have to reset. Higher = no issues, lower = reset.

AWESOME fix, you nailed it before I got here.
ONE correction - there's no reset necessary moving from a single 18650 to a single 18350 and back.
That's all same voltage, and no problem - it's just the stacking that changes the chip setting, and you have to change it back with a reset.

No problem :).

I had that problem with a Vamo I just bought also....I got the store owner to take it back ...he furnished me with a Lambo 4.0 as a replacement ...I TOLD HIM I DID NOT WANT ANOTHER VAMO ..TOO MANY THING TOO GO WRONG ON THEM and 1 WEEK IN WITH THE LAMBO AND IT STARTS MALFUNCTIONING ALSO ....LED flashes and won't take any batteries whatsoever AND ...I think in general he's selling bad mods... Because when I put the batteries on another mod it works fine...and the Lambo he won't take back says I HAD A 30 DAY WARRENTY WITH the 1st Vamo I bought ..that was bad...I had to return ..My expense on postage...sends me the Lambo...which is doing the same thing with batteries and not vaping... and when I tell him he tells me I'm past my 30 days to return.... Watch some of these store owners...their selling things they have in stock I think that they tried out..or wasn't new and was returned....and they don't remember ...and sell it back out to you...then your stuck when it doesn't work....all my batteries were good I had just bought and stocked up on those...
