Is there a way to update from firmware 1.80? I think newest firmware is 1.88?? I'm wondering if battery life improved with newer firmwares?
What he said ! I'd love to know about updates . Maybe contacting the guy who does the Nivel will yield some results ?

I emailed the guy back in Feb 2014, no reply. :(

The dani / pipeline pro by dicodes (I think it is) has a very similar look and design to the nivel, 1 button design, same segmented display, looks like the nivel 2.0, but I've never seen the bare chip. I would LOVE to fit that (or a newer chip) in my SMv3! It is still one of the nicest, high quality mods I own. I love mine to death.

Generally speaking, my sweet spot is 12w-15w regularly. Since I got the wae2 the only time I'm above 20w is dripping @ .5ohm, or playing with my aqua which gives me a pretty flavorful warm vape at around 22w.

So yeah, I agree 15w is plenty for the majority of vapers. But that new chip (whatever it is) in the dicodes mod has a boost feature to heat up coils faster for a couple seconds, has thermal monitoring where it back down the max power applied to prevent burning and scorching of wick/juice, has an ac (yes AC) mode that I dont understand what so ever. You can change how many button clicks to enter menu mode, how long time out is, where battery cut out voltage level is (this is a big one I'd like to have).

This industry is moving fast, the semo has one of the best designs because its so easy to upgrade.... I hope svoemesto realizes that.
No PV left behind!!!!

I am a tank guy, and I don't think you need more than 15-20w when you use RTA's. Personally, I am between 9 and 13w(depending on the juice) on a single coil Kayfun/Russian.

I have a couple of Pipeline Pros, one 18650 and one 18350, and they are really great. I've paired them up with Kayfun Lite+ V2 and a Russian 91%. The Russian 91% fits flush straight out of the box, since it has an adjustable centerpin, but on the Kayfun, I had to sand down the insulator about 1mm to get it to sit flush with no gap between that and the Pipeline. That was my main concern after watching reviews, as everyone of the reviewers complained about gaps.

I also like that the Pipeline is a short mod. It's exactly the same size as a Nemesis with a kick setup. You can also make the Pipeline Pro a little bit shorter if you go for the prolonged endcap, as it is less wasted space with that. It only makes the mod ~5mm longer with a one size larger battery.

I'm with you. I really hope Svoemesto realizes that there really is no end life for the semovar. As easy as it is to take the chip out, there should be no reason why we wouldn't be able to upgrade in the future. You are also right that most vapers really don't need over 15 watts , but it would still be nice to know we could upgrade if we wanted to.
