Hi all, newbie here..
Really like the looks of the semovar however seems pretty new, anyone here tried it?
on another note, really love the KFL + astro but couldn't seem to get a thick vape out of it...
I'm still experimenting with the coils --
Tried the 32awg kanthal but really difficult as I snapped the coil first try getting the cotton thru(8wraps x 2mm), 2nd try (13 wraps x 3mm) wouldn't light up.. Went back to (28g/3mm dia.x7 wraps) and using cotton... Much better..fired up to see it re-lights quickly and voila..
Can feel the draw smooth boiling but no boil spits.. but I want thicker pulls and huge plumes! Help! So far it's okay but I wouldn't say its a plume.. Looks like regular smoke..
Long time heavy smoker so really trying to kick the leaf.. So far quite satisfied w my setup.. But still..
Any recommendations?

I use .28 ga kanthal and about 7 wraps on a micro coil for my kfl. It comes out to 1-1.2 ohms. Wicked with cotton but you need to make sure you don't use too much cotton. High VG juices will produce more vapor and the kfl produces a good amount. Those huge clouds are generally coming from drippers though. The Semovar is an awesome device but won't really affect your Atty that much. Its just providing power to it.

this actually the 3rd revision of the semovar it is just now gaining popularity here in the states but very popular over in EU. the kayfun is i think on rev 5 or 6 and over 2 years old.

love my semo, beautifully crafted and a rock solid vape.

SvoeMesto, is probably one of the best regulated devises out now. Right up there with the Provari, if not a tad better. I've found that a vertical micro build works quite well on the Kayfun rba. I've done a dual series vertical micro on the Russian, and it was my best build on it so far!! Experimenting with dual sub ohm build right now, with a coil over each juice deck, still have to adjust the coil height a bit, but the flavor is really nice. Since getting the Aqua rba, by Uvo Sytems, the Russian hasn't gotten much attention, but now that I have my Fogger V3 wicking properly, and hitting real good, and the Aqua is maxed out, and don't need to toy with it, tis time to revisit my build on the Russian, and see if I can't get it performing better. Also getting the wicking just right can be tricky with the kayfun, not to much, not to little, I roll my cotton pretty tight, so that it will pull with a little resistance through the coil, once I have it threaded and the length I want, then I untwist it so that the wick fluffs out a bit to allow better wicking through the coil.

Check out the Vcore build thread, the Nano Dragon build thread, and of course the Mico Coil build thread, to catch some clues and pics. I use 28 gauge on all my builds, and like the results, can get more coil wraps and viable surface area while keeping the ohms low so that I can get more vape.

Building takes trial and error, finding the wire and wick that works best for you is the key. Then one can get pretty consistent builds and ohms. Cotton is my wick of choice, but as soon as my hemp fiber arrives, that will probably change.

Good luck and happy Vapping.

I don't have a semovar but plan on one in the near future. Regarding the atty, my setup is .05 flat wire on folded over 3mm silica and it produces plenty of vapor. I aim for 1.2-1.4 ohms, temp is just right and flavor on point and like I said kicking out some clouds.

Semo and Kayfun 3.1 is the best hybrid on the market, imho. The Semo is probably the best APV on the market, imho (needs to pass the test of time). The Kayfun is clearly one of the best, if not the best bottom coil, chimney devices on the market, imho. Put it all together, you have the best combination of features of anything on the market, imho.

I finally pulled together enough money for a Semovar. I ordered a Kayfun Lite Plus to go with it. They should arrive tomorrow or Saturday and I am lost in wait land. I'm stoked though! I have a Russian 91% on my Provari right now, and the Semovar is going to have to bring it to beat it....I'll see soon!
I'm using the same setup, ProVari and R91 and like it a lot! KFL+ is also on its way but the Semovar is going to have to wait for the vape budget to recover for a while.

If you already have a Provari, I seriously doubt that a Semovar will improve your vape. They are both outstanding regulated devices, they both max out at 15 watts or 6 volts, whichever comes first with the build you are running. The only difference is looks, and the Semovar can use wattage settings, where the Provari you have to use ohms law to figure out what watts your build is delivering for your voltage setting. Neither will get you past the 15 watt barrier, to do that one needs a dyna chip or mech mod with sub ohm builds.

If you vaped the same atty at the same volts/watts, in a blind fold challenge, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference of vape between the two.

Bringing this back from the dead as I just got my Semovar in today and matched it up with my KFL+, I got a clone to take the original KFL+'s place on the 134. I recently bought a Provari and while I was waiting the additional week for the Semo to come in I started regretting my purchase a little. Now that it is all connected with the Kayfun I'm really liking the combination. I can't say that it's better than the Provari but it is definitely a VERY smooth vape with the KFL+.

I found someone in the EU selling their Semo Sticker and I'm waiting for that to come in. Should be cool!
