What do ya' all think of keeping a thread for swaps of small items? As we stock up, we sometimes get items that we don't need, or we get too many of one thing. We could post the items on the "Swap" thread. If someone wanted the item, and had an item to swap, the items could be exchanged between the members.

Members involved, would do business between themselves, and make their own arrangements. Could send a private message with e-mail address.

This would also be good if someone were to run out of something. Another member could "lend" something until the order arrived, and said item could then be replaced to the lender. If it's local, the people could meet to make the exchange, if not local, we could drop it in the mail.

As far as myself, I'm basically an honest & trusting person, and would exchange small items with other members on the honor system. Why not? If someone really stiffed me, I would notify the other members, and no one would swap with the dishonest person again.

This might come in handy if the e-cig Nazis start banning, and some of us need something to get us through until orders get through. Also, I'm thinking of trying different flavors at times. A small flavor sample swap would be great for a test run before I placed a big order.

As per Lika's suggestion, kindly edit or cancel your posts when business is finished or a post gets out dated so the thread doesn't become a killer tsunami.

Great idea, Jim. It would be cool if we could create sub sections (forums) within a sub group forum, i.e. the classified section on the main ECF site. So that we could have a real "Swap" section within this this group. But I see no way to do that. It looks like it would have to be just a thread. That might get messy after a while 8-o if there's a lot of swapping going on but we should certainly give it a go.

Another option we have is to use the "Discussion" section on the Tejas Vapin home page. That area is still empty right now. We basically have two sections to a group forum, the forum itself and the discussion areas. If our swap thread gets too big and hard to follow we could move it to the discussion area and just use it for that purpose.

For now I suggest we just use this thread as it seems the swaps have already stated taking place. :D Jim, do you want to rename this thread? You could change it to "Swaps & Exchanges" or just leave it as is, whatever you think is good.

Also it would probably be a good idea if we edit our posts after the swap and mark them "Completed" to let others know the OP got what they needed.

Sure, and it's a great idea...unfortunately I haven't got much to trade with at the moment.

Nothing has to be done right away. You may want to make a swap a year from now. Who knows?

I see you mentioned you needed an atomizer. Sorry, I don't have that type, but if you ordered extras, someone who has one could mail you one, and you could mail them a replacement when you get your order.

I mean this as a "help out your neighbor" system. It won't be perfect, but it may help at times.

Frankly
I'm interested!. I'm like a guinea pig, only different and with a job.

Great! Do you have any 901 batteries you could live without? PM and we can work out the details. My orders from Deal Extreme are taking forever right now for some reason so I'm waiting on rechargeable CR2 batteries and chargers to finish magnum mods. BTW - for anyone interested in building their own here in the metroplex, FRY's electronics has bins and bins of black flashlights that work great for real cheap. Just make sure you test the darn thing BEFORE ripping it apart. I've had one that the master power switch didn't work....

Hey guys!

Lika had a great idea. After your business is done in this thread, edit your post as complete or delete it. I tried to delete my old posts but can't figure it out. Anybody know how to delete the posts?

Posts can't be deleted unless a mod does it. But they can be edited and you could remove all the text and replace it with "Deleted" or "Completed" then just save the edit.

Anyone near Houston want to sell me their cold/dead 901 atomizers ($1 a piece, donations welcome)? I am moving to my next project to see if I can improve the designs on these 901.

Here are my goals:
-Play with different coil length using Nichrome 60,80 and at different length
-Perhaps using the porous metal fabric from the atomizer core to build a easy to fix atomizer design
-Find the causes of dead atomizer and break them down by percentages depending on the number of atomizer I receive.

Guys (and Gals)

I'm organizing my stash, and trying to balance out my different products. I'll post this here first before I post on the main forum.

I have FOUR brand spankin' new EVO batteries. (Tested, but never used)
___________________________________________

I'd like to swap 2 of the EVO's for 2 RN4081 Batteries.
___________________________________________

I'd like to swap the other 2 EVO's for a passthrough. (used but working is OK)
The passthrough can be either an RN4081 or a M401. I have both, and don't care which one I use a passthrough for.

Cheers;
jd
