I keep a bottle of CAP's Vanilla Whipped Cream mixed up at 15% (30PG/70VG) as an add in when I want a bit more creaminess in whatever is my tank.

Let it mature for at least 3 weeks in a plastic bottle or 6 weeks in glass. When it's 2+ months old (in plastic) it's very creamy so a little goes a long way. :)

Nice suggestion. I never thought about pre-steeping a supporting "add-in" like the whipped cream (or I suppose it would work for anything that requires longer shelf time; like custards, tobaccos, and chocolates).

Thanks for the idea!

This is a clone recipe of Element vape's Strawberry Whip. It's not my recipe, but I have mixed it and it has a very nice strawberry, light whipped taste and mouthfeel.

1% (EM) Sweetener (TFA)
4% (FA) Strawberry
5% (CAP) Sweet Strawberry
1% Raspberry Sweet (TFA)
2% TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
4% Vanilla Whipped Cream (TFA)

Yay, I have all ingredients but the raspberry. I wonder if I could bump up the sweet strawberry and just do without the raspberry?

IDJoel, research Milkstone or Custardstone.
I have never used any, but basically its a blend that is then used as a single ingredient. :toast:

Just a guess on my part, but I think the raspberry is being used to help the strawberry flavor pop.

Yup, I would tend to think that too. Since you have no raspberry you could sub some other red fruit or up the strawberry.

@kas122461 is correct, the raspberry is there to help the strawberry pop.

I agree with this suggestion. Do you have TFA Dragonfruit as it would serve the same purpose as the raspberry? If yes, add at around 2%. If not, do you have any other strawberry flavors. You could add another strawberry at 1-2%. Otherwise, you can try bumping up one of the strawberries by 1%. As you know, often with flavorings, more is not always better. Try to make sure you don't over flavor and mute the mix.
Good luck!!

I wonder if over flavoring is the cause of all of my just so so juices. I have yet to make something that I really really like

JMHO, but I find most store juice over flavored and cut it at least 50%, which to me makes it better. On my DIY I look at a recipe and think about what % I need to cut before I try it, as most are way to much flavoring. I try to stay in the 10% to 15% range for Total flavorings combined. As has been said, more is not necessarily better. Again JMHO. :)

I appreciate all opinions here, because they are backed by experience and solid information!

This may very well be the case. You could post one of your favorite recipes that hasn't met your expectations and I'm sure that you will receive some very good feedback on the flavoring percentages. The overall percentage of flavors are often dictated by the flavoring manufacturer. Some are known to be strong and require lower percentages to shine while others are weak and need higher percentages. Hang in there and keep mixing. It takes time, but I'm sure you will get it to meet your expectations.

I have read a bit about "stones" in general from Wayne Walker's writings. I have thought of them as flavor bases but never complete finished (PG, VG, nic all added) products. You are absolutely right... I will be doing further reading.

Thanks for expanding my horizons! This community is the best!!
