I saw a thread which mentioned "packing" the PV to get the fluid to the end of the cartridge. Thought I would mention that you can also face it away from you and swing your arm up and down to shift the liquid as well. Centrifugal force FTW

Convenient if you don't have a syringe handy and don't want to drip [as] frequently.
This can also be done in reverse to get the liquid to the bottom of the cart and fill it better.
