I know there is a specific thread for this, but I always get quicker responses here for my questions.. I've had the rainbow elite for about a month, I've. Finally got fed up with the switch issue. I bought a Chicago screw today to attempt to fix it. The screw was too long, so with a dremel I shortened the male and female part.
There are a few parts to my issues, First I cant get the screw short enough to screw the bottom flush with the rest of the mod, like by 2 turns.. is this a bad thing?
Second... When it works, it's awesome, but it's still misfiring... I still have to smack the bottom occasionally to make it work.. From what I've read about this modification, barley touching the button gets it going every time. Not the case with me.
Third, the tube gets a little warm and I feel like I'm going through batteries faster (I'm checking volts before I replace them) the battery isn't hot, I just feel like the tube is warm. I am a chain vaper, so I don't know if not having the voltage drop like with the spring is causing that, or if I somehow f'ed something up. Thanks for any advice!
