Just looked back at this guys previous posts. He was a 30 year marb red smoker, and he successfully quit. He started vaping because he thinks nicotine is a good weight loss aid. Being a successfully quit 30 year smoker, he knows what nicotine addiction is like. He somehow successfully quit, yet he is willing to purposely get himself re-addicted. I simply don't get it. Go join a gym and eat healthier. Nicotine is not a weight loss aid. In fact 90% of the smokers I know are overweight.

This is exactly what I've done. I used to smoke, but I quit about 8 years ago. Haven't really missed smoking, but I've definitely missed nicotine. I'm very happy about my decision to start using nicotine again, now that I'm using it in a safe way by vaping. I struggle with ADHD to the point that it's severely impacted my quality of life, and I'm finding that nicotine is quite effective in helping me cope with it. I've been much more productive and focused since I started back. The fact that I'm hooked on it doesn't bother me in the least, as I see absolutely no reason to quit. I wish I'd started vaping years ago!

Quitting is alot easier than you think, you just do it
want to quit? before you go to bed soak your pack of cigs in water and toss them in the trash. When you wake up you're already eight hours off nicotine.. you're 3/4 of the way there.
I happen to like nicotine, I quit smoking years ago because cancer aint no way to die

If it were easy, everyone would do it.

From my point of view, I don't see why anyone would want to give up nicotine if they didn't have to.

Give up smoking though? YES. I'm telling every smoker I know to please quit. You don't have to give up your nic habit...why in the world would you even want to once you find that there's an actual safe alternative to smoking? I can tell you that when I quit smoking, had there been e-cigs then, I would have just switched. No-brainer. If nicotine was seriously detrimental to your health, that would be a perfectly good reason to quit it...but it isn't!

But smoking will kill you, yeah. The key is education. People are so mis-informed about the whole thing. Most people I know think nicotine and tobacco are one and the same and carry the same risks.

Just because everyone else got all holier than thou on you, doesn't mean you have to return the favor.

It's not that easy for all of us. And that's not a good way to get questions answered.

But I would try the 6 mg for a week or so. If it's still not enough, try 12 mg. That seems to be where a lot of people land when they have been vaping for a while.

Everybody's quitting experience seems to be different. I'm glad you had an easy time with it. For most of the rest of us it is not that easy. It's not just as simple as not doing it anymore. If quitting nicotine was easy, everyone who tried to quit would be successful. I'm a strong willed person. When I set out to accomplish something, I almost always follow through with it, and get it done. Nicotine addiction has been the only thing I have miserably failed at. It's not easy. And I still stand behind my statement. I don't understand why somebody would purposely get themselves addicted to it. What do you mean you MISS nicotine? Nicotine does absolutely nothing for you unless your addicted to it. The pleasure an addict feels when ingesting nicotine isn't pleasure at all. It's RELIEF from withdrawal symptoms. If your not addicted to nicotine already, it does nothing. As far as a "buzz" goes, I'm clueless as to what your talking about. I've never had a buzz from nicotine.
