Currently only have one flavor, but really want to be able to switch flavors for variety. How is this accomplished with a single tank? I have an Kanger Aerotank. I'm considering purchasing a cheaper evod 2 for a second tank that uses the same coils so I don't have to invest in more parts so I can switch off two flavors. But until then, how would I switch flavors with my one and only existing tank? I have read it is not recommended to totally vape out the juice in my aerotank before refilling. I am using blueberry RY4 now.

Imo, tanks with pre-built wicks aren't that great of a choice for swapping flavors... A RBA or RDA might be better suited for frequent flavor changes w/ limited hardware investment.

Im not sure if your tanks coils & wicks can be rinsed... if not, i guess you just have to refill with your new flav and let it transition from one to the other.

You can always keep one for berries and one for desserts or non-berry flavors.

I suppose it depends on how much juice you're dumping every time you change flavors. I usually only change flavors at the end of a tank and I usually replace the wick. Lots of it depends on the previous flavor. Just washing with soapy water works well most of the time. But I've notice with menthols or peppermints the taste lingers so I have a dedicated tank just for those juices.

So maybe change to a new coil when I switch flavors? Not sure I can rinse these kanger dual coils?

That depends on the juice that was in there. I've switched juices in my Nautilus after cleaning it and rinsing the atomizer head then letting it dry. I noticed that if I previously had a real thick darker juice with say 100% VG in the tank I would still taste it for almost half a tank of the new juice. I then switched to rebuildables and whenever I changed juices I tear it down, clean it, heat then rinse the coils (no wick) then put a fresh wick in there. No taste carryover at all. However, I changed juices so much that I just made it easy and bought several RBA's. I Vape on one for a little bit then pick up another. I'm always buying new juices from different suppliers and I'm like a kid in a candy store now, I just can't get enough.

Thanks for the advice, I see I have alot to learn about rebuildables, etc. Will be fun while learning, I'm really enjoying vaping, wish I started sooner!

Yes, I am considering an evod 2 to use for a switch since it uses the same coils, do you recommend it?
The Evod is fine. Really though, I would have stuck with maybe Evods and the Protanks because they use the same coils.

As far as changing flavors with only one tank you don't have many options. I'd get a 2nd tank right away. Until then, put up with the hassles I guess.

The Aerotank and protank coils seem to rinse just just fine. I just tear my tank down wash it with warm water and mild dish soap, and then run the coil under hot water holding it with tweezers and have had no issue changing flavors. I've tried soaking in vodka over night as my local vape shop recommended and noticed no difference between that and just rinsing the coil.
I will note I don't vape menthol or mint flavors, if you do you may want to get one tank just for those kinds of ejuice.

I also let them air dry overnight.

I think most here have more than one tank. I have a bunch, one for breakfast, a few for the day, One for evening snack time. All are fullish and I grab one, depending on its content and vape. I will vape one for an hour or two and then change tanks.

I think it is common.

I agree I need a second tank right away, and while I'm at it a backup battery wouldn't hurt either :)

That is why I'm considering the Evod 2, only $6.99 each, and I could afford several at that price! Now if I could just get to the vape Lounge! Thanks!

Add to your to get list a box of protank atomizer heads. They work in both the PT and the Evod. Rinse out your tank as suggested earlier and sniff it. If you can smell it you also can taste it, is the rule I use. Replace the atomizer with a new or cleaned one. Cleaned One = Passed smell test. I'd go into Dry Burning, but maybe another day.
Good Luck

OBTW since you may not know a new/cleaned atomizer head requires Priming. 5-6 puffs with no power applied followed by 5-6 1 second puffs until vapor production starts. Not Priming Will Get You Burnt Taste Almost Immediately.

I have an aerotank, but it's Similar to the protank correct? So are the atomizer heads for the Aerotank also work for the Evod 2?
