I guess I must be one of the lucky ones. Had been smoking for over 20 years and took the plunge a few weeks ago. Have not had the urge to have an analog yet, hope that feeling continues, I know my bank account is sure liking it, lol

I stopped the analogues overnight, I do still want that first cig of the day, but I find keeping a carto of 36mg fluid to hand does the job (I usually vape 18mg) half a dozen puffs of the "strong stuff" first thing in the morning, then switch back to the 18mg.

Great post; congratulations on your success!!!

You are absolutely right about this ECF - there is a real tolerance and respect for personal differences. The amazing degree of support and focus on accomplishments rather than failures is something I have found so helpful and hope I can in return PIF to encourage others.

(Perhaps another benefit of quitting via ecigs - instead of becoming a sanctimonious so-and-so you become a compassionate person who shares and empathizes with others
... maybe it's something in the vapour ...)

That is AWESOME.

,,, that smell of a smoker! Yuck!

I will never, ever go back! I mean, why WOULD you!?! I don't think I've ever been so ecstatic about something for so long. I truly get excited thinking about it! Even still after months! It's like,, somebody discovered a cure!

Such well thought out post. Welcome to ECF, it's such a great community. I love the idea of having a shoulder to lean on when you're going through the hardest part of smoke addiction. I'm the only smoker in my family so I tend to carry the weight of the addiction by myself because I actually never "outed" myself, everyone knows of course, but no one says anything. In ECF, just by reading other's stories (successes, failures and in-between) and I know it is an everyday battle, but a battle to which we have the best tools to win. Again, welcome.
