Anyone else get the new SX Mini? Bought it on an impulse when the delivery arrived while hanging out at the B&M. Yihi says 120w with two batteries, I also saw a few pre orders state 120w. Very misleading. If they are talking about the chipset itself, they should not confuse that with the actual device. Could they possibly mean with two stacked 18350s? That wouldn't seem right given the required amps.

Overall, a nice small device. I never run my IPV3 over 100, and it looks like this guy will not be going over 60w? I have been playing with the three settings, soft normal and powerful. They seem to cause the coil/s to heat at different rates. It'd be nice of them to give more info on that feature.

Anyone else have one, and could give some more input?

Maybe thats why I am not finding ANY info anywhere on this thing. I imagine I am not the only one holding one at this point..

Looks nice like a ZNA mini and no clone chip will be weeks before it gets here (if ever), a SX 350 mini is £70 ($110) just for the board if you can get one and looks like the new must have chip YiHi state @ 8.4v its 120W but a little tricky in a premade mod @ 350 x 2 is 70mm or more and no idea if the wiring is up to it?

What battery config is it and who makes it?

YiHi makes the mod. They will not allow retailers to sell it for any less than 189. Pretty pricey but feature rich. Accelerometer gyro and gravity sensors lol. It uses 18650. I am ...... that they mislead to believe this MOD does 120w. They need to be clear in saying the CHIP does 120w. I do wonder if x2 18350s would allow me to run this at 120w. I am dumbfounded i do not hear people talking about this mod! Maybe i got it too soon and i will need to wait a while before the chitter chatter starts..

They have them at my local B&M. One store sold out and I walked away from one at another store this afternoon. They claim only 500 made ever. I seem to remember the guy telling me that with stacked 18350's you could run 120 watts. I might be mistaken.

The thing felt really great in the hand and not terribly bigger than my iStick.

I have a feeling I'm going to regret walking out without it.

They wanted $225 for it, and that is the going price in my area.

I'd call $225 a fair asking price for a B&M. They go for about $190-210 online. Mine will be here Thursday.

Every spec sheet I've seen on the mini clearly states the new chip's capabilities, it's up to the end user to deduce the rest. Yihi is a solid outfit, but they're still a Chinese outfit. :p

There certainly is a dearth of information on the net about this device for some reason, Ray, I don't get it either. If there's nothing on Youtube by the time mine arrives, I might do a quick hands-on with it for interested parties. Judging by the (very) few owner accounts I've managed to scrounge up, it's a fantastic little device.

Ah, there's a bit of discussion that might help right HERE, Ray.

Why is nobody talking about this thing still?! I realize it's on the pricey side for a Chinese-made device, but no more expensive than high-end regulated mods made elsewhere around the world (certainly not in the US at least). This little guy is one of the most well-built and feature rich mods I've ever held in my hands in over 2 years of vaping practically every device under the sun. This thing is quality. Hasn't left my sight/hand in two days.

I kinda want another one.

My local shop has them. For whatever reason we couldn't get it to fire with 3 Antantis tanks, although it would with my RDA. This shop also had the 50w ZNA clone which, after seeing them side by side, I like much better. Shame because I was hoping to ask for the SX from my wife for Xmas. Still a nice device but just not for me.

They ARE in stock somewhere. But, they only have a few for now, They said 3 weeks, ALL we need. I got one. And, they are NOT 199$ or 215$ or what ever, unless you found someone who is a TOTAL RIP off. They are 80-100$. NOT out of line in the LEAST. And, the people that have them, are probably the MOST HONORABLE online sellers there are. I've dealt with them for quite a while. They were the FIRST to have and sell the original Yihi SX350 when it was just 30 watts.
And, to those who don't seem to understand, they are 60 watts, IF you only use one battery. IF you put TWO batteries in it, in series, they are 120 watts.
As I no have not used round batteries for some time, I use only Lipo Flat Packs, available currrent is NOT a issue, and I get full 120 watts, for many days off of a single charge. Get with the program, a 2S Lipo battery. And, I make up my own little onboard chargers with balancing board. A VERY simple add on.

Glad I read this. Didn't realize it needed to be stacked. (Hope there is room if anyone tries)

This is out for me. Not paying $189 for a 60w and stacking 18350's is a joke. 700mah is 700mah any way you look at it. would need to carry a case of Batteries with it.

Anyway, I decided to settle for the IPV mini @ $49................ To bad the chip will not upgrade. Maybe a Chip replacement will come along.:D

I was gonna get one but $190 is hard to swallow for a Chinese mod. I know its nice and quality is top notch, but at that price it should be. The chip is $80, worth it IMO, but I dont think the enclosure is a $100 piece. If this was priced at 120ish id be a buyer.
Like I said, in the end YiHi is charging $100 for that enclosure, despite how nice it may be, there is some VERY nice chinese stuff without american made prices, im not going to pay american made prices for something I know other chinese mfgs would sell for under 40 (w/o chip).
Its a shame because its a beautiful mod.

The device in it's current form is not intended, nor designed to stack 18350's.. It would be foolish to attempt it. ;) As for the quality.. The SXmini's build quality is as good or better than high-end electronic devices I've paid $250.00+ for. :) In fact, I'm going to order another one in black when available. In my testing, the device is pretty much dead-accurate in it's wattage output.. Absolutely NO issues to report. (As I would expect in a device of it's price-point)

It's not for everyone... Especially, the "squeeze-the-beard-off-a-Lincoln-cent" crowd.. :p YiHi has stated that they will NOT be releasing the SXmini mod to Chinese wholesalers.. Any clone versions of the device which may come around will also have cloned chipsets, not genuine YiHi...

I dont have an issue with paying $190 for a device, my issue stands with it being a *huge* markup on the enclosure. Like I said before the chip is worth its $85 price tag, I will pay that all day long. Where my issue arises is I know YiHi isnt manufacturing the enclosures, they are sourcing it for dirt cheap, then adding pricing it at $100.
Quality wise is it on par with equal or more expensive devices? Ive got no doubt. I have zero doubt the chip is one of the best on the market, YiHi boards always are.
I just have a big issue with what they are charging for the enclosure strictly because I KNOW some other chinese factory is making them who would otherwise be selling it for 1/4 the price.
Even at 140ish id be a buyer, but 190 IMO is too much because of where we know its sourced and the costs that we know come with that.
Heres the flip side to that, I also know this is a complete double standard, why is a Vaporshark worth the same money but this isnt when its just as nice, maybe nicer?
I just have a really, really big issue with the enclosure cost lol. Theres so much good stuff coming out of China priced so well. The Variant Slim clone was $125 and that came with two lipos and a $10 charger, and its nicer than most of my authentics. $189 is just too much for this thing, to me, despite how much I want it and how often ive been tempted to buy one.

I also had an issue with the enclosures and wonky 510 connectors on the few $250.00 Hana's I've owned.. Not to mention failed USB ports.. The SXmini's build quality smokes Hana's.. ;) YiHi listened to design / build ideas from vapers in the States, and it shows.. I really don't give a damn where the enclosure comes from.. Every screw in this device is stainless steel.. inside, and out. The firing / up-down buttons also. The micro USB port is in the right place, and SOLID. The inner battery tube appears to be copper.. The self-adjusting 510 works great. :)

To each their own though... :) I've been at this game for over 4 years now, and owned many devices.. I have no buyer's remorse whatsoever with the SXmini.. ;)
