Any momentary switch you want to use that is NO (Normally Off) will do fine LB. Current doesn't pass through the firing switch, the switch just tells the board to pass power through to the 510 connector. No amp rating for the switch is needed, just use a switch that looks good to you and has the feel you want, and of course fits your case. Even in Bypass mode, current doesn't pass through the switch so no worries there either. If your SX-350 doesn't have 16ga wire for the battery Pos, Neg, and the 510 connector wire please change to this gauge wire before doing the 60watt upgrade. YiHi says this is required for the upgrade and all the SX-350s I've seen so far have 20ga wire. I'm pretty sure all the future boards will have 16ga, but I don't think those boards have hit the distribution channels yet so most likely yours will come with 20ga.

I also highly recommend putting in the 2 wattage adjustment buttons (+/- buttons) so you can change wattage from the firing screen, otherwise you have to go into the system menu to change wattage with the gravity sensor. This isn't necessary, but really make the mod nicer to use since you can easily fine tune your wattage while vaping. This also adjusts the wattage for the memory position you are currently on. Nice feature.

Thanks,

I didn't think there was much if any load on the firing switch but wasn't 100% positive of that. It just so happens the switch I want to use is a 10 amp anyway. I was going to change over to 16 ga if the chip doesn't come that way. Without a doubt I'm wiring in tactile swtiches of some kind for wattage adjustment. I'd rather have the buttons.

What box are you going to use for the build? Be sure to post some pics.

1590TRPBBK 4.41"x3.11"x1.54"

or

1590TRPCBK 5.95"x3.75"x1.54"

I have both in the shopping cart. I'm going to wait and see once they get here. Dual Keystone 18650 holder, Fat Daddy 510, Shapeways Bezel and magnets for the lid.

I'm not sure if I want the bigger box for more air space or the smaller box for size. I think some of the concern with running it at 60 watts besides the wire gauge is possible chip heat up. If that's a possible concern I think I may take the bigger box. I plan on using this as a regulated sub ohm device .35 -.6 Ohm builds.

Both are good modder boxes. Inexpensive and easy to work with. If you are going to do a lot of under .5ohm vaping anywhere near 60watts dual batteries would be a good choice. The battery sag on a single VTC5 at .3ohm and 50watts is pretty significant.

Or do like me and get a second SX-350 for a second mod. I built my first on a broken (fried chip) Cloupor DNA30 box that I got pretty cheap from a local B&M that didn't want to send it back to Cloupor. It's a very nice size and lasts pretty much all day with a single VTC5 and a Nautilus or Kayfun while I'm working, but doesn't last well at all for under .5ohm. Great vape though while it lasts... around 2 to 3 hrs. So I think for my next mod I'm going to use LiPo bags somewhere in the 5000~7000 mAh range and 90C so I don't have to worry about battery sag. Still looking for a box to use though, but since I already have a SX-350 working it's not a big rush. Absolutely love this SX-350.
