Syringe for filling an EGO cartomizer

I've TRIED to use the world's most valuable tool (google) to figure this one out, but I'm still not sure.

Basically, I need a syringe (probably 5ml) with a rigid metal needle (hopefully not a sharpened needle, but I don't know if they make those) to fill up my Ego cartomizers.
Can anyone recommend the best place to buy them from, that ships quickly and from IN the US? Just got my ego yesterday, kinda bummed that I can't refill my cartos yet....plus I have some Backwoods Brew RY4 on the way ;)

Edit: I think some pharmacies and stuff have syringes, know if they would be the kind i need?

Your gonna want the sharp needle for filling cartos, it works much better, with a blunt needle its pretty worthless, they are good however for mixing juice, its good to have both the blunt and sharp for different things but definitely sharp for filling carto's because you want to be able to get that needle down the side wall of the carto to inject from the bottom or even into the filler, you wont be able to do this with your blunt needle

You didn't say, but I'm assuming you are using the Genuine Joye cartomizers. If not, disregard the following.

Actually, it's best to use 2 different types of needle.

First, use a bent paper clip to pop off the mouth piece. You will see a second plug with two holes on the side. Use the paper clip to to remove it also. (note which way is up)

You only need a small syringe, 3ml is plenty. You need a 20ga sharp needle to puncture the membrane in the carto. Then use an 18ga blunt needle to fill it. The 18ga blunt sits on top of the fill port and you slowly fill with 1ml of juice while rotating the carto in your fingers.

Inject about half the juice and set the carto down a few minutes to let the filler absorb it. Then put the rest in.

The first fill requires a little more than 1ml, probably about 1.2ml. After that it will take less to refill. .8 to 1ml.

It is actually better to over fill the first time. That insures that the wick is thoroughly saturated so you don't get that burned taste.

Best place to buy them? Freedomsmokeusa.com has both, the 20ga sharp, (comes with a 3ml syringe) and the 18ga blunt sold without a syringe. Shipping is gonna be a flat rate of $5.00, so you might want to get some juice or something to make it worth while. Use coupon code freedomsmokeusa for 10% off the entire order.

If you have an aversion to sharp needles (like me), you can probably use a large safety pin to puncture the membrane. (It's pretty tough)

Also, I believe Madvapes.com has needles and syringes.

Both are great people to do business with.

Good luck

My pharmacy here wouldn't sell me any needles or syringes, but my doctor was more than happy to give me three 3mL syringes and three 16ga needles when I told her what I was using it for. The sharp needle scares me a little too, but I'm just extra careful with it when the cap is off. Works well for filling my IKV 510 cartomizers.

between here and there
I just picked up a few 5 ml syringes with 22g needles and they're too thin to use, can't suck up any juice! So I'm guessing lower gauge=bigger like in wiring. Oh well. I just put 65 drops in my dual-coil carto with the taryn spin method.

Problem solved! I went to walmart, and got three 20gauge needles. They were only 33 cents apiece, compare to $1.50 on most ecig sites!

The way I fill the syringe is to put it in the bottle and get the juice in them then put on the needle.....I never could suck any juice up thru the needle, no matter what size I used......

These work well with the eGo carto and others...

The whole trick is pulling back the plunger to what amount of juice you want, then pushing that amount of air in the juice bottle, let go and the syringe fills itself for the most part, accept on a brand new bottle where there is no air

Yes this is true. No wait, that doesn't work for me. It depends on what type of stopper/topper your bottle has.
