What guage do you guys use? Any cheap places online to buy?

My syringe faded and I cant measure so I eyeball it nowdays. I always end up blowing out the excess because it gets flooded at the bottom and I cant see through it.

What is the best way to avoid over filling it and just fill and go? I want to start filling more cartoz and having them ready instead of using the same carto until it is a gonner.

I just start filling from the bottom up, moving around the carto. When I see the juice come to the top of the wicking material I stop and wait for a minute if it soaks in some more then I fill a little more if not I stop. I've never used the ML calibrations, if I have extra in the syringe I squeeze it back into the bottle, if I need more I draw more. One good tip: wet the rubber plunger tip with a little juice before each use and it will not get stuck in the tube. I've been using the same syringe for over 4 months.

+1 TU4V.....1.5 18g Bevel Needle...3cc Syringe (How big depends on how many cartos you look to fill per session) I would also get at least 3 if not 6 syringes. The needles last forever, but over time the syringes won't (a month or two). The plungers will become difficult to pull back and depress. I think it's from the esters from the sugar alcohol which takes a toll on the inside lining of the syringe.

Instead of just blowing out the excess in the air/wick tube, just turn the carto upside down, put a little pressure on the bottle, put the dropper in the air/wick tube hole and release. The vacuum will simply suck the excess right back into the bottle. The other key is put a .... plug condom on everytime you refill whether it is via the Drip Method or using a Syringe.

The great thing about a Syringe (you may want a 5cc = 5ml = 5 Cartos) is that you can speed fill 5 Cartos without guessing, waste, or mess in less than 1 minute.

I pull back on the plunger to remove excess juice and head to the next carto or put it back in the bottle :) With a new (and sometimes more stubborn needle), I pull out the plunger and drip the juice directly into the barrel, then replace the plunger and fill the cart :) Anything left goes back into the bottle so I simply "eyeball" about an 1" or less of juice for one 1 cart ;) Fortunately, this isn't "rocket science" or I would have thrown up my hands long ago :lol:

C'mon El! Beveled is all the rage these days. Maybe you should turn the LIGHT ON! Yeeesh!
:laugh: Yes, I know. But I don't get out much, the pharmacies here all seem to think it's against local law, and I've just never stumbled across a website before (that I felt I might trust) which carried beveleds.

But I'm good now, Morandir's got me hooked up with a place where I can buy cheap, and only three (not 100) at a time --

So who's a chump now, missy?:laugh::laugh:

Yep, all been said. I use beveled 18 guage and 3 ml syringe. I get mine at Tractor Supply or Farm and Fleet in the animal health section. They are pretty cheap. walked out with 20 needles and about 8 syringes for under 10 bucks.

Not sure if there are any TSC's or Farm and Fleets near Chicago, but they have been very convienient for me. If I remember just one syringe and needle would be a couple bucks.

:blush: We could have worked out a swap of some sort. I'm sitting on a lot of these and they HURT! :p Ouch!

Mor - they are totally illegal here too but this supplier asked no questions, and I told them no lies.
