I just bought a device where the pic on their website was OEM, but the price was to good to be true.
After receiving the device, it was the knock-off...I'm not crazy about those type of vendors.

Thanks for the update Cuando. It may be that the blister pack of short wicks may just be new 'old' stock?....dunno for sure.
Some vendors input would be nice also :)

Hey Skelley check out the following link; approved to maybe just add to your confusion.

http://www.gulfcoastvapor.com/Kange...l-Heads-5-Pack-p/kt-t2-egocc-coilhead-5pk.htm

That is a five pack of Heads for the T2. If you look under manufacturer it says Kanger Tech. Now with all this Kakada floating around about validity of authenticity we all have to take these assumption with a grain of salt, and maybe even pepper too!

has anyone tried the new kanger t3? http://www.szkanger.com/productshow.asp?bid=9&pid=6 i love he thought of bottom coil. i have a t2 and it seems to work better (more consistant vapes) without the plastic cup on the replaceable coil head. over all im very fond of these. ive been using boges for about a year until they went south. i got my t2 fromstormysvaporcellar and the 5 heads i ordered along with it were different from the head screwed onto the t2. the coil in the tank was short wicked, 5 replaceable were long wicked but still works good.

Nope, I haven't tried the T3. I finally gave in and ordered the T2 and it should be here today.
That T3 looks like my fav CE3 from betterlife, now I definitely have to give those a go.

melloyello, how did your 5 heads from SVC arrive? Anything similar to the pics on the previous page (blister or bubble packs)?

T2 out of the box: I recieved (4) T2's and (2) boxes of the 5pk heads. I ordered everything 1.8 ohms.
All (4) T2's ohm good 1.8-1.9Ω and are short wick w/ catch cup.
Replacement heads arrived in blister packs and the box is identical to manufacturers box.
The heads are long wicks with a white rubber band around the head to keep the wicks close to the body.

*Issue with vendor as (1) box of heads are 2.8-3Ω range, but labeled 1.8Ω. So I will be contacting them as they only offer 1.8 & 2.4Ω.
**Vendor shows pick of short wick w/ cup and no mention of these being long wicks.

T2 First impressions:
The device is very light for it's size and a tad on the 'flimzy' side, but for the price, I didn't expect machined billet aluminum either.
The air draw is nice and light. Not to airy and not milkshake straw tight either, just about right for the wife and myself.
I've been using bottom coils for so long I forgot the 'tilt-to-vape' law with this type of top coil devices.
So when I go back to the 'tilt-to-vape' ways of vaping:
Vapor: I'm getting really 'good' vapor production from my known juices.
Throat hit: It's able to give the TH that my juices are known for.
Flavor: 2ml in on short wicks and the flavor is really good. Ever so "slightly" muted, but not muted like some of my older CE2 (top coil) devices. Now I need to give the revised long wicks a try.

~I was able to get dry hits once the juice level was low, but having used carto tanks, this issue went away once I removed the tip and put it back on. I believe tanks can build pressure/vacuum and just need to be 'reset' every once and a while.

To Long? ...Light; slightly on the flimzy side, but priced right. Holds 2.4ml of juice. When I go back to my 'Tilt-to vape' ways they perform well with my known juices. The short wicks do, ever so slightly, mute the flavor but not enough for me to not like this device. The tank can built vacuum, but quickly removing/replacing the drip tip resolved the issue.

Update:
After I typed the above post I switched to the long wick heads w/o the cup.
WOW...nothing but dry hits! I removed the head and adjusted the rubber seal and still get the nasty dry hit.
So I cut the wicks and install the catch cup from the other head; inspect/adjust seal-to-wick clearance and I'm back in business.
My vape pace is 7-15ml/day.

That sounds like there might be something on/in the wicks.
I took a new long wick out; removed the long seal and noticed a extra loose wick on top of the coil.
I have the new long wick in the ultrasonic cleaner with vodka and will give it another go.
The dry hits were so nasty that I couldn't get one single good hit. I like to tinker, so this should be fun :)

the whole breaking in phenomenon is such a mystery

I see it happen with silica, SS mesh, and cotton alike. Its really strange to me, but its real!

Makes me wonder wtf is going on inside all those fibers lol.

Good reviews skelley. now I need to get some catch cups. how short are the short wicks?

(btw I saw a post about a CE3 tutorial thing you have somewhere? made me want to revisit them. link me up if you can!)

I cleaned and installed the 'cut' long wick & cup w/o the extra strand of wick on top of the coil.
After use I believe the extra stand is for flavor as the flavor has now dropped way off.

I then installed the new freshly cleaned long wick head w/ the extra strand and no catch cup.
No dry hits now and the flavor is back and so is the performance.

So I would conclude:
The long wick heads need cleaning prior to use.
The heads need the extra flavor strand.
Must not forget the 'tilt-to-vape' law with these type of devices. <--- a reminder for me :)

CV, the CE3 quick guide is in this post....link
It's not new to us 808 clearomizer roundup readers ;) as it's everything that we discussed/experienced and shared many months ago. Just summed it up with no frills.

all 5 heads came tossed in a plastic bag. no blister or bubble packs. long wicks and they work real well.

i did get gurgling quite often (and subsequently juice on the batter post) with the short wicked cup version. when i put a new head in (from SVC ) i didnt take the cup from the previous head but screwed the cupless head in and started vaping....no gurgle, no juice on the batter post....ive gone through 8 ml's of liquid with this head so far and i like it!

Thanks, and yet another packaging.

Blister Pack: short & long wicks
Bubble Pack: short & long wicks
Plastic Bag (not individually wrapped): long wicks

 It's all good Cuando
It's just that when I buy into a device, I like to know everything about it, so I can get the best experience possible and the ability to repeat that experience....I must be OCD that way...lol.

The different ways the heads are packed indicates that there are different companies manufacturing them. This also indicates that there could be a different experience with different heads that have the same length wicks.

I did try another T2 w/ a new long wick head. I filled and let it set on it's side for hours to soak.
Dry hits that could wake the dead came from that device....I tell ya.
I removed the head; cleaned in ultrasonic cleaner w/ vodka; hot water rinse and dried.
Now it works perfectly. That indicates something is on/in the wicks.
I don't get the need for the flavor strand as I rewick my rebuildables and I don't need to do this to get good flavor.

I do notice that the juice starts getting thicker as I vape, which seems common for most CE4+ (top coil) devices.
These are mainly for the wife as I still like my CE3's and Phoenix rebuildable attys.
You know that saying "If momma aint happy, aint nobody happy".....
I'm just the test dummy....err, her Q.C. department sounds better :)

I like your version of OCD. Still very new to all this but think I may have caught it too. It is slightly under developed for now . Because of that I did some research before selecting a vendor.
The OEM stuff for the T2's I have seen all have short wicks and silcon cups on the bottom and come blister packed. That could change by the time I post this and may already have.
But back to the vendor. I did some research and chose to order from Tim out of the gate because he seems to have a ready, aim, fire strategy verses the flood approach. He is pretty picky about what he sells and tests and has cutomers test what he sells. So far everything seems to be OEM or original gear. Some of the very cheap stuff I see out there are almost always knockoffs. And it is very hard to tell sometimes. I like dealing with a vendor I feel like I can trust.

I must say you have me very curious about the CE3 though. Haven't tried any yet. Where do you get them?
The only bottom coil device I have tried had good flavor but a very tight draw.
