I have some T3 and Mt3 clearos and have some questions about them..

First, no matter how carefully I fill them they sometimes gurgle. Why do they do that and what do I need to do to stop it from happening?

Second, does anyone sell the nylon seals as repair parts for the coils? And what about the wicks? Those things are easy to lose and it's a waste of money to replace an otherwise good head just for a washer or piece of fuzz.

And lastly, do the atomizer heads actually wear out? According to one web site they only last a couple of weeks? Is that true?

Thanks

I keep mine horizontal as much as possible and refill it when it gets 2/3 empty. This seems to help as much as anything I've tried.

If you're asking about the positive post insulator in the head, then these work just fine.

I've started using cotton cheesecloth for my wicks. Works just fine but don't dry burn with the wick in place. Remove it, dry burn, replace it, fill, and vape. You may want to rinse the head after replacing a new wick before using it to get rid of any funky taste.

Go here to see how to make a cheesecloth wick.

Some might say they eventually wear out but I used my first T3 head for 20 weeks and it was doing just fine as far as I was concerned. I messed up the coil trying to remove the silica wick. Pinched a coil with my tweezers and pulled it out of shape. Had to re-coil it. Used the positive post insulator mentioned above and it works just fine.

Spider could not have said it better but I'll add this. I got used to the gurgling when I was primarily using my T3's. Now that I'm on evod though, it's hard to deal with the gurgling of a T3. I'm not sure why the design causes gurgles, but it seems like it's just inherent to the single piece heads of the T3. As for heads wearing out, I'm on all original heads in my Kanger products (for months now), minus switching to cotton wicks. You can rewick a stock coil with cotton MANY times if you're careful. I have an order of Kanthal on the way so I'm not really worried about being careful anymore since I'll just do new coils at the same time.

I suppose if you never clean them, or run a really dark, sugary juice they'd gunk up in that time, or less. Telling you the "only last" is a spin on that to get you to buy some spare heads.

Which, after all, isn't a bad idea. Or get some wire and watch a few vids on recoiling.

Always important to have backups.

Excellent, thank you very much. I have one T3 that seems to have lost some of its wick and I'll try the cheesecloth method you linked to.

As for life expectancy, I've noticed that the coil resistance seems to increase as the head ages - at least according to my DMM. They still work, but they're not 1.8-2.2 ohms as they were when new. Gonna have to investigate that further.

Thanks again.

My T3 heads do not last near as long as others do. I'm ok with that. I like Kangar bottom coils (T3, Evod, Protanks) Only 2 possible reasons for coil failure that I've come up with. 1) The juice I use. It is light colored, sweeter fruit/candy types, some 40/60 vg/pg while others are 50/50. 2) Quality control issue from manufacturer.
I wash and check the coil before first use. Some brand new heads are wrapped poorly right out of the box. I clean them regularly with hot water and occasional dry burns. The coil just fails. With the new T3S coils coming out REAL SOON, it will help contain the cost of replacing them. I don't mind because I do like the way they vape. For now, I don't want to mess with recoiling. Maybe later.

I rewick myself with 100% cotton ball. It wick much better than the original silica wick came with the MT3. For gurgling, I keep the MT3 at 45 degree when refill. Sometimes, it's not the refill but it's the condensation inside the tube. When you pull the head, the condensation has air through and allow fluid/water run to the tip. What I do is blowing from the tip back down, with a piece of napkin at the bottom. If there is still gurgling after that, I fire it for a second or two before I vape, it'll take care of it.

I don't like the way they vape with cotton wick. Some of my heads didn't fail, I simply put them out of order due to several mishaps. At 2.5 a pop as I was paying back a few weeks ago I really don't need to recoil/rewick. I had some heads going strong for 3 months, and one day they simply stopped heating. I used to baby them dry burning regularly, but nowadays I simply put them out of commision after 2 months...

This goes not only to T3 heads but also to Vapeonly BCC and eVod heads.
