Tabacco flavor stuck in juul?

So I recently let a friend borrow my juul and he used tabacco pods in it and when I got it back the whole thing smelled like tobacco pods and Everytime I put a new pod in it has a tobacco taste.. any ideas other than buying a new juul? I tried new pods and cleaning the internal as well as the prongs and rubber piece

I let him use it, the device still works just has an awful after taste and smell. I wouldn't ask that of him. I've used about 4 pods in it now I go through around 1 a day but this taste is driving me nuts.

You could try cleaning out the area where the pod is inserted with a q-tip and some alcohol or possibly vinegar, either one should help get rid of the taste.

If you use light downward pressure on the top of the juul you can push the hardware out of the sleeve. Use a blunt object like a pen cap to avoid damaging the rubber and stuff, but all the internals will slide out with a bit of pressure. Becareful putting it back so that you don't crimp a wire or anything, but once it's out you can clean it pretty well
