Well hello. I just got my first pv (already learning the lingo) this morning about 10am cst. Based on advice to others here at ECF, I picked up a KGO cartomizer kit.

So far it's awesome. Tastes better than tabacco, I have no cravings, and all the behavioral things I'm used to are still there minus carcinogens and whatnot. After 20 some years, I'm stoked about being tobacco-free.

I think I'm figuring everything out for the most part. But I am wondering about batteries. Do I need to run the battery down completely before recharging? (kgo 1100mah)

Alright, that's it. My intro and question snuck in at the end. :)

Good job on finding out about vaping and quitting the cigarettes!

No, you do not wait until the battery is dead before recharging. It is actually better for them to charge before that point. Do you have a spare battery? If not, could be good idea to get one and charge one while using the other.

Welcome to ECF!

Congratulations, you have found a new hobby that is much safer and enjoyable! Enjoy ECF, as you look through the forum, you will soon discover many wonderful vendors and toys to experiment with! Really...it is allot of fun! You don't need to run the battery all the way down but don't be afraid to use it until it dies! You have a nice little unit there! Referring to the KGo of course! LOL!

Also, you are correct vaping can taste allot better/cleaner than tabaco! Part of the fun is experimenting with various flavors! ENJOY! :toast:

I got the Kgo kit also. Started out on over priced Greensmoke cigs .I haven't had a smoke since Easter. So they helped me stop smoking but I wanted something a little more so I got the KGO. The Batts. are great, last all day on one. I usually take a fresh one to work and switch them over when I get home and it is never blinking low. I never used it till it died out for charge.

The kgo rocks. My advice:
-Don't kick yourself if you slip. Each time you will like a cig less and less. Even if you have one, you save yourself from many.
-Mix it up and try lots of flavors. I have four, and 14 more flavors on the way in 10ml bottles. From there I will buy something larger and keep sampling.
-Buy spare cartos now. Don't forget ship time and cut yourself short.

Welcome to the family! I have only been here a short time but this is the friendliest forum I have ever seen. Everyone is always ready to help a new vapor to stay analog-free ( if thats what they chose). As stated above, if you slip and have a cig, don't beat yourself up about it. It's about the ones that you don't smoke, not the ones you do.
My advice for you would be to never, ever, ever run out. Buy more than you think you need.....then buy some more. After about a few weeks or a month, you will start seeing what your needs are. Good luck to you!

This forum is pretty friendly. :toast:

Other reasons to be stoked -- My hair doesn't stink. Nor my fingers. Got to rewash everything in the closet though ...

Hey, there is something I could use help with. It seems like the first hour (half-hour maybe) of vapes were the best and I just haven't had that same quality again. Might be that it was just a new experience.

How to keep vapes fresh and strong? Hhow often should I top off the carto? Started off with about 20 drops into the empty carto. Later added 8 more. Then another 4. Then 10. And so on. Maybe I should add another 20 and see what happens? I've seen warnings about overfilling and of course I don't want to do that.

Search condom fill carto, it's very easy.

I'll personally refresh with five or six drops one in a while rather than a full refill.

Also, learn the KGB a bit...a slow draw or a fast draw is very different. Listen for the crackle....you will know what I mean when you hear it. The longer I go, the more I like a nice slow draw.
