Taifun GS Micro Coils

Hi,

I'd like to try building micro coils in my Taifun GS with cotton rather than silica. I have 2mm and 2.5mm drill bits for wrapping. Could somebody suggest what gauge wire I should be using, how many wraps and what diameter drill bit to try please?

It will depend on what ohm coil you want to build. For me I'm using 28 gauge wrapping it 8 times around a 1/8 and getting about 1.6 coil. There are some excel sheets on ecf that you can download to put in what kind of coil you want and what wire you have and it will give you how many wrapped to do.

If you wanna do a micro coil, here's a fact sheet:

Wraps touching don't make it a micro coil, inside diameter does. Sounds like you got led astray by the you tube video celebs

Here's a video on the gizmo. Beats the living dog piss out of any other method for wrapping true tensioned coils and the second smallest rod is perfect for micro coils
