Hello,
I have recently purchased a Taifun GT Clone from FT. And for some reason im getting a short in it, I removed the 510 pin and spring I cant see anything touching I even added a small oring but that didnt help, and im running a micro coil and its not touching any of the post, I want to open the bottom to look if anything could be touching at the bottom base but it doesnt seem to unscrew at all, could anyone please tell me what could be causing the base to get hot and the button on my mod ?

I have had my taifun gt clone do the same thing a few times and i can't figure out why. It is working fine now but it did burn the hell out of the screw for the positive post.

Has this come back for you or did the cleaning fix it? I have the Cigreen version of the taifun and this just recently happened to me. The screw looks the same on mine. I punched out the deck and messed up the threads for the center screw so I think I will have to get the FT deck and hope it works.

It did stop after removing the screw and cleaning the insides
I have a FastTech SS Taifun GT - version B. Went to re-wick mine after it sat a few days while I have been vaping on my new Mini Nautilus. Pulsed to dry burn and mod started to get hot and a puff of smoke from under the atty. My screw looks identical to your burned screw.

It's reading a short, .15 ohms. Was vaping fine at 1.9 ohms but did have some leaking issues. Thought it was from chimney rotating a little from last refill. Have noticed one post will come out but it does tighten down fine. How did you clean the insides of yours out?
