Can anybody tell me how to differentiate between the clone and the real deal? Supposedly, the clone is a 1:1 replica, but there has to be some differences.
I assume you are looking at the Fasttech forgery.
Based on what I have sitting in front of me for reference, the genuine Taifun GT is all SS construction, while the build deck of the clone is chrome plated brass. All parts interchange.
Fasttech lists a stainless steel deck assembly (#1560100 SS threaded base) as a separate item. As I understand it, this new part was in response to a number of people complaining about the chromed brass. I have not seen this part in person, nor have I seen, in person, an all SS Taifun copy.
You will have to contact Fasttech to see if what they are selling now is all SS, or still with a chromed brass build deck assembly, requiring you to buy the SS base as a separate part... if chromed brass bothers you that is.
FT is replacing the base with a SS one free, for anyone who got the chrome one

I have both and I hate to say it but the clone nails it spot on, im using a clone now as i have been testing it for a a day or so and i see no real differences. at least not enough to complain or worry about.
the few small differences dont affect the clone in any ways that i can see.
and they are to the point you will not see them or notice them unless you can handle both at the same time and even then you have to really pay attention to some very very small details that dont affect function.
If the quality of the clones stay consistent to the one I have, i give it a thumbs up lol
Ok well I just picked one up last week from a trustworth guy, somebody who wouldn't be caught dead with a clone. But then some dude PM's me saying that the clones have the R in the circle after "taifun" and the legit one doesn't. Is this true?
Is the Taifun GT (clone) top fill or other?
I have 2 real GTs. They have the ® after Taifun on the chimney tube.
the Taifun GT is 10x the device the Fogger V2 is... just sayin'If you don't like the fogger, you prolly won't like this, same principal (bottom coil/chimney) fogger more of a pain to setup, but vapes better
agreed, I think, like a lot of others it is probably the only device in this class so far that is actually better then the KF (not by much though) the kayfun still wins by ease of setup though.the Taifun GT is 10x the device the Fogger V2 is... just sayin'![]()

if it wasnt a constant limited supply preorder device and was made in the same quantity as the kayfuns I think they would definitely be more popular then they are now.
for what its worth the pics on fasttech dont match the item in your hand. its still a 1:1 clone but not the exact one pictured.(at least mine isnt) i think they probably used a preproduction or prerelease photo and didint change it.
