Hi guys, looking into getting a Taifun GT clone to fit my Panzer since I don't like the KFL+ on it. Is $26.52 Taifun GT Style 5.0mL Rebuildable Electroinc Cigarette E-Cigarette Atomizer-Silver the focalecig one that everyone seems to be so impressed by?

Also how does this device compare to a Kayfun-style device?

Also saw Twisted420's video and could someone verify if $22.42 Taifun GT Style Rebuildable Atomizer (5.0mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping is a HCigar version?

The first link you provided doesn't work, not sure why. Says something about "forbidden".

The FT clone in your second link is not made by Hcigar, according to the chat on FT forums... it is most likely made by Acerig.

Bad news on my TGT. The longer of the terminal screws is too short... barely catches threads without wire under the head, and a piece of 28 gauge Kanthal prevents it from catching threads at all.

Options at this point:
- get a longer screw
- shorten the post that the screw goes through
- return the atomizer for replacement or refund

Will try to procure a longer screw tomorrow...

Challenge overcome... had to shorten the post on my belt grinder by .045" and everything works like a CHAMP.

Completed first build on my TGT clone. This thing is amazing. 28 gauge Kanthal A1 wire, contact coil 3/32 ID, 5 wraps, 1.25 ohms, organic cotton wick. Super easy to build. Outstanding vape quality from the first pull. No leaks, flooding or dry hits. This thing is at least as good as my Kayfuns so far, and might even be better... going to live with it a while and see how it does.

I have the clone made by Cigreen and I experienced hard shorting on the base. I did some searching and it is not that common but it does happen. I don't know if it has happened to any one else here but I found a fix that I think will work out well. I figured it couldn't hurt to attempt to find the short and fix it. This is just speculation but I think that the insulator separating the positive and negative decks is too thin. The one on mine was paper thin and small. I don't know if there could have been water in there causing it to short out or not. When I clean it I normally flush water through the air hole and blow it out with my air compressor. I disassembled the base and when I punched it out I screwed up the center screw threads. So I had to find a workaround for that also. Here are a couple pictures of where the shorting was taking place along with what the screw looked like when I took it out. I will post again with what I did to fix this problem so hopefully it won't happen again.

P.S. I think the shorting is more from the thin insulator rather than the water, when I first bough the Taifun the first one I received was hard shorting also and was intermittent but when I tightened the topper on my ohm tester I could get it to short out.

After "Mod", the positive post is lower because of the thicker insulator. Now I can take all screws out without worrying about the holes not lining up because there is no slop in anything. Everything is pressed tightly together.

Yeah that IS odd. Maybe the 510 screw is working itself out of the threading? I've never tried to get the base off of any of mine and from the looks of things, I hope I never do. o_O

funny thing is, it didn't leak in the beginning. it started leaking a FEW tanks in, weird.

My wife has been using the ft clone for several months without a hitch. I recently ordered a new one because she dropped it and put a hairline crack in the tank but doesn't leak yet. In some ways I prefer the taifun to the kayfun or russian which I use both of, but they both offer a warmer vape which I prefer.
The tank material appears to be unaffected by citrus juices in comparison the same juice ate my Russian plastic ring in one day.
