Just got my SS Vamo in the mail over the weekend from Best Quality Electronic Cigarettes | E-cigs | E-liquid | E-juice - Exhalevapors (Great place by the way!). I am making the move up from a couple eGo pass throughs.

When I bought my eGo batteries I got a couple of carto tanks to go with it. Just the regular ole o-ring jobbies. Switched out the dual coil for a single coil with two pre-punched holes. Like these SmokTank XL - Blue Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank - New tank design for 510 PV's! 6ml 1.5ohm

I had a couple issues with leaking mostly because the tank would slide up. I hit my local shop and they sold me some pretty decent locking Carto tanks that I really like I am also running single coil 1.7 ohm SmokTank XL - Gun Metal Locking Cartomizer Tank Only - New tank design, 6ml

Now for my issues:
1. They are both plastic and I am worried about chemicals leaching into my juice
2. The locking carto sits flat against the top of the Vamo not leaving any room for air flow. I bought what I would call a 510 to 510 connection (but think it might be called a 510/ego?). Although this functions ok it looks like garbage and seems like a stress point for threads etc (not to mention the issues w/ the insulator grommet.

I guess locking isn't crucial but I do have my PV in my pocket a lot, So what do I get? I like to have a couple different flavors going so I'm looking for something that is sturdy and not crazy over priced.

Finally what are some carto ohms I should try now that I have vv/ vw?

I am using the same tank right now on my Vamo. I too had no air flow when the tank was mounted. I used a small v shaped file and filed a "V" into the bottom of the locking ring a little at a time until I found the air flow I was happy with.

With a 1.7 ohm Carto you may want to try 3.5 to 3.7 volts or switch to the watts and run about 7 to 7.5 watts.

Here is a Chart that may help you determine your settings when in volts mode.
