I'd like to get one of my Provari's powder coated. Does anyone know how to take one apart?

It has to come apart some how. They dont plant Provari seeds and just pick them. Someone must know how to get one apart.
im sure the guys at provape know how, but i doubt anyone wants to tear apart their 200$ mod just to tinker with it, unless you have a severely broken one outside of warranty. powder coating one would be cool tho.
I have 5 of them for my Wife and I. We had 2 each and I just found a textured black one I've wanted for a long time. Thats how I ended up with an extra one to play with.
Why would you have to tank it apart, couldnt you just pull the bottom cap and mask off the top ?
I dont know. I've never powder coated any thing. I thouht it had to go in an oven after they spray it.
no clue, you could always ask jay over at GLV i think he powdercoats his own stuff.
the powder coating is usually heat-cured somewhere in the vicinity of 400 degrees IIRC
This is correct. Powder coating is literally spraying on a powder, and then baking it. From what I have heard, the screws beside the window hold the circuit in place, and the top cap is press fitted. Beyond that, I can't say.
I still cant see what is holding the top on. It looks like there are groves inside the tube that the SB slides into. Looks like all I need is to get the top off. I just cant see how. The screws just hold the plastic window in place.
why not just contact Dave at Provape, have him sell you another blank tube, then paint that blank tube ? This way when you damage your tube getting your press fit top cap out you wont have any issues and it will be much easier putting all the stuff back together in your newly painted tube. just an idea, tubes are the cheap part. Especially when it comes to getting off that top cap and even more so when putting your old top cap back into a new tube it would be much easier, most press fits are made to work one time.
Ohhh I wonder if we could actually do that. I want a blank tube and top cap and bottom cap, all separate from each other, so I can cut the tube just above and below the vertical lines on the side, and mod it into a tank that will match the provari.
I used a long steel rod and slid it in from the bottom and hit it a lot. LOL Once you get the top off the rest just slides out.
Damn, my black chrome provari just showed up today ant now you got me wanting to take it apart to get it powder coated green. Might think about it more if this black chrome finish starts losing it's shine.
