Started vaping a few months ago when my roommate bought an Ego-V. This performed slightly better than other ones I have tried which were more of the cig copies. I personally have never really been into vapeing but have been smoking hookah for years and truly love it. After doing a quick search to see if there was anything better besides the Ego that could produce more smoke like a hookah I was quite surprised with the myriad of info and wealth of knowledge found on this forum. So after a couple dozen hours of reading and watching videos over a few weeks time I am thinking about trying something new out.
My first build and for the first month I will aim for 1.2-1.5 Ohms to be on the safe side then gradually work down to eventually do Sub-Ohm when I feel more comfortable. Here is what I am thinking of getting with some questions, if I am missing ANYTHING please let me know:
1)hcigar Nemesis (clone)-http://101vape.com/mechanical-mods/200-nemesis-clone-by-hcigar.html
(is $30 legit from 101vape? It appears that people recommend 101vape while others have had problems with money getting held up, is it worth the extra $20 to get it from vaperoyalty?)
2) Kayfun Lite Plus (NON clone)- Kayfun Lite
3) Sony 30A batteries (2 of them)- Sony 30A 18650 - Batteries
4) 28G Kanthal wire - 28 Gauge Kanthal Wire, 100 ft Spool
(is there a place that sells a sample pack of different wire?)
5) Organic cotton
6) xtar-vp1-2-bay-charger- XTAR VP1 2-Bay Charger - Battery Chargers - Chargers
(This seems to be a pretty well recommended charger. Is there another one for this price that works better? This seems expensive but would rather get a clone of the Nemesis and invest in a better charger that could prevent meltdown. However, if there is anything that is cheaper that works on par please mention it!)
7) Multimeter- Appears that this is a better way to go over getting something that just reads ohm's. After doing some reading it seems like people throw everything from Sears to radio shack out. Which one is a good one to get? I am willing to spend more on it just like the charger.
8) I am aware I will need something to wrap the wire as well
