Taking the plunge - no analogs tomorrow

Got my 510 a couple days ago, and the first shipment of juice today (and a usb-passthrough, and spare atomizers) and I've decided, after a successful vaping day today, to take the plunge and try to go analog free tomorrow.

Wish me luck. Anyone else doing the same anytime soon? Would love to hear any insight on how it was.

Congrats on your decision and Good Luck. You shouldn't have much trouble, at least for me there were absolutely NO withdrawal symptoms whatsoever. The very first night I slept better than I had in years. Smokers cough was gone in 2 days.

You should do just fine, just give it your best effort and let us know how you make out.

Good luck.

I'd say don't try to force it. You should be feeling less interested in analogs if you are vaping already. Just go with it. If you cheat and have an analog or 2, don't assume you have failed. I was able to quit immediately, but many seem to persist with a few analogs a day for awhile before discontinuing them altogether.

Definitely good luck. I am vaping on several different flavors of 24mg as needed, and have not even wanted to smoke a cigarette in a week. A friend of mine who started with me has only smoked 5 cigarettes in a week. He personally was not able to go without cigarettes completely, but to go from his normal pack a day to 5 cigs in a week is fantastic.

I am truly a believer that PV's are a great tool to reduce smoking, and to eventually allow someone to completely give up smoking if they choose. Again, best of luck!

All the best of luck...Been analog free since Feb 11, first in over 25 years....Had a couple of desires, but nothing at all like when I tried the patch or gum....They just didn't do it for me...Enjoy the Vaping Experience and remember, there are a lot of great people here who can help you out on just about anything concerning Vaping....Enjoy..

I weened myself down pretty quick. Would have one in the morning, one mid-day, and one at night. Was a pack-a-day guy for the last 7 years or so.

On Monday, I started my day with my (admittedly crappy) Smoke51 model. Didn't look back. Tried having an analog on Tuesday night. Took 3 puffs and put it out. It was disgusting.

Can't wait for my 510 to get here so I can get some real vaping going! Been cigarette free for 5 days!

My name is John Davidson .... so very close haha

So YOU must be who all the telemarketers are calling for !!

My name gets beat up all the time - had a lady call once to sell me a satellite system and say 'no, your name is Davidson.' I gave up with her at that point.

Thanks for all the encouragement - it's been a couple hours now, the cignot Cherry Coke VG is leading the way!

Thanks,

John

Good for you !!!

Here are somethings that helped me when I finaly decide no more analogs.

1) Get rid of ALL your ashrays, lighters, etc. Your not temped as much if you don't see things like an ashtray.

2) Drink a lot of water and keep snack food on hand.

3) Get a little exercise. A walk around the block does wonders when the cravings hit.

4) Tell everyone you know that you are quiting analogs. Support is good.

5) Don't think about how you are not going to smoke for the rest of your life. Just tell yourself that you are not going to smoke TODAY.

6) Don't cheat. Having just one analog only prolongs the torrment of quiting. Cold turkey is the best.

Hang tough and you can make it.
