I'm doing better with the whole thing today. Last night I think I was just over-vaping on each hit..sucking the carts dry way too fast.. but ya know.. I was not experiencing over exposure to nicotine.. I don't think anyway.

Today.. I'm moderating much more.. I think I'm nearing the end of a cart I started at the crack of way too early (bout 7 hours ago) and I did have one analog this morning while in the yard.
I think after just last night I am starting to taste the chemicals in an analog - and having a pref for the vape stick. I might have to swipe a 0 nicotine cart from hubby's stuff just to not overdo on nic.

Aesthetically I think I'd prefer a longer unit with various skins involved but the weight and width are what I was after. My cigs were misty menthol light 120s so longer would be pleasing. I've been browsing the pink thread .. lovely items but I am thinking way too much tech for me.

Is the screw on department on most of these cig look-alikes standard threads? I'm wondering if I can attach a different - longer cartridge to this brand. Their FAQ says no but .. marketing.. yaknow

Welcome! I'm new to all this as well. I've been a long time smoker and had to quit before those coffin nails did me in. I've tried patches, gum, and other ways, but always kept coming back to the analog cigs. I purchased a v2 system, and while they are good quality, I find they are a bit over priced. I've done a little browsing here on the form and feel that the Volt may be a better choice if you want a cig-a-like. However, be prepared to have short a battery charge and buy an extra battery with you when you're out of the house. The carts that come with the cig-a-likes don't last too long either.

If I had come here first, I would have gone with a Joyce eGo Twist instead of the v2. I'm now looking at a Volcano Lavatube and a Vivi Nova tank. For me, this seems like a good set up and the batteries are replaceable, and the tank is rebuildable.

There's a huge learning curve, and a plethora of choices, but you have to start somewhere!

Opal--It could be the VG. There's a thread on here about telling the difference between analog quit symptoms and effects of vaping and there was a few sentences on the VG leaving a coating in your mouth sometimes. The OP there suggested rinsing your mouth and drinking a lot of water, which would also help with flushing the toxins out while quitting analogs.

Apptiger--A lot of VG is extracted from mass-manufactured bar soap (I'm an artisan soapmaker so I know one big difference in what I do vs. what the big boys do is that my bars don't have that removed so it helps skin by drawing moisture to it) so your wife may be on to something, but I haven't run into VG tasting anything but sweet. It might be where you get the eLiquid from? Hard telling--everyone's different.

End of day 2.. well actually a bit over 24 hours with vapes in the house. Hubby's not thrilled.. evidently his tobacco flavor is too sweet (and needs nicotine)

His analog brand of pref is American Spirit (the black pack)
Might someone be able to point me toward an e-juice refill for cartridges that is close to that brand?
I've been reading about RU4 RU8 .. other letter and number combinations and I'm basically confused.

I used to American Sprit in the blue pack, and the black pack when I could find them. After going up to $7/pk and 1-1/2 PAD, I decided it was time to take actions.
I just got some Highbrow Tobac de Perique 24 mg., I really like. It kind of tastes like the American Sprit black pack to me. I almost think that is what they are trying to mimic Your mileage may vary.

I have noticed this also I started Thursday and have woken up before the alarm all weekend bummer too I have been off and could have slept in. also I have felt a bit more refreshed when I get up.

Welcome to ECF. A visit to your local B&M store is more than likely your best move. Hands on approach is better than trying to reads 1000s of pages of information, sometimes. I sleep the same length of time but it seems I sleep better/harder. This maybe because I now breath better than when I was using analogs.

I was less tired yesterday but was up way earlier than usual and not liking it the first few hours--spent them dozing in the recliner. Same thing this morning, and I already have a tendency to be insomniac on top of being a chronic pain patient so I'd rather be getting a few hours' more sleep since it's better for my body problems.

my bf vapes dk tab. its not sweet. i can't describe the flavor but we both enjoy it a lot. he gets.his from aroma e juice though other vendors might offer a similar flavor.

I think I'm starting to figure out that if I am to use these things to quit analogs.. I have to quit playing with them and only pick them up when I feel the urge to have a smoke.. been sucking cartridges dry and running my batteries out really fast - cuz I LIKE IT!

In regards to nicotine it can affect some as a stimulant and others as a relaxant. In regards to TH and lung hit, something we as smokers all cherish, a higher PG juice will enhance TH and lung hit. I began at 36 my Nic and am now down to 2 mg. used to vape 60/40 PG/VG but now vape 80/20 to get the much needed TH and lung hit. Also got a variable voltage. VV and changing my juice ratio is now giving me that much desired TH and lung hit.

You DEFINITELY need to make the trek to Destin! Smokin' Vapor is a bit pricey, but I owe them my life- uh, literally, cause I would not have found vaping without them. (The Panama City store, but they are the same people.) You can get juice in hand, and you can try the juice before you buy. You can also try some different hardware, so you know where you want to go next, if you decide to make a change. But the juice... the juice... the juice... you need juice ASAP. There is going to be a lot of trial and error with finding the right juice online. The biggest advantage of paying a bit more for the juice ($22 for 30 ml, $10 for 10 ml last I checked) is that you know you are going to like it when you leave the store because you have already tried it. I would bet they could look at your PVs and tell you if it matches any other threads too, so you know what you can use with what you have now.

For the sleeping thing, not sure, I didn't notice a difference, but it hits everyone differently. You can make as many new posts as you like, or you can try to make this the longest post on ECF if you prefer. I think more people will see the questions in a new post though, cause I for one tend to think if it is several pages long, the questions have been addressed and I may not make it to the end of the thread.
